That's the actual point. Publishers dictate. Developers obey. Look around the gaming industry a bit and you will see.

Sure, and 3DO certainly did a fine job driving NWC into the ground with its moneygrubbing. Also, until the end, they never involved themselves with the actual Might and Magic games. Plus, resurrecting 3DO wouldn't actually bring back NWC, the ones who made the games 
But about Irwin... sure! If, admittedly, only for him to get killed in a more dramatic fashion (j/k).

There would be a few people I would resurrect just to see the the results. One would be Julius Caesar, it would be quite interesting for him to see what the world has become today. Jesus Christ, and like someone said above, Freddie Mercury.

Most probably expect me to say my brother. I think he is in a far better place, personally. Why ruin his fun? Nope..the only ones that might be ok to ressurect would be the evil ones, and who wants to bring back the bad people? So..nobody.

If i could i would ressurect by best the best friend in the world who died because of cancer 2 years ago
He was like brother and more than an friend too me, we had so much plans for future, now it's gone...
The some what funny and ironical thing is that I lost him almost at the same time when i found the love of my life.
It is sad that i seem to trade one friend for another. And i am mad why i couldn't have two friends at the same time, ....
You can't have all they say because you can end with nothing at all
And i have definetly ressurected this thread

I don't need to have this ability, because I can ressurect anywhere, any time, because I'm necromancer.  But the trouble is, they would be undead. 
OK, now seriously, I'll ressurect my best friend, if he die.
