Apparently their element changed right after the damage on demons was calculated and happened to change to the right element to also chain on the grunts. Didn't know that either, the things you can learn...

H5 is totally about skill and mental discipline! If your luck fails  Thing is that each game is composed of dozens tiny details each possibly capable of turning around the game.

Well, never really got into duels since my router doesn't let me play online normally (Hamachi should work, though). And I'm kinda hesitant to start duelling only to get my butt kicked by one of the most veteran players on the site

I've gotten my @ss handed to me more times than I can remember, that's how you become a veteran. Besides you are gonna need training for the upcoming duel tournament no?
You will be joining I hope. The original tournament was for temple regulars that didn't necessarily have any online experience. It's all in good fun.

I made a silly mistake by attacking princes with cyclopes in melee, not only had I overlooked that I would hurt my paokai but the trap didn't work either and lost a cyclops to the wraiths. Then I took my chances and attacked the 14 princes hoping to get double hit instead of striking something with more hp and the cyclopes could kill 6 instead the 7 remaining vamps To make things worse I left my chiefs next to warmongers leaving them exposed to a good frenzy, those were good enough reasons to believd I did not deserve to win that. After I sacrificed goblins I started playing more tactically but by then my key units had sufficient rage to keep me going. It was a matter of time.
About veco's game all I can say is that everything went to hell after that mass slow. Summoning is not the best idea when opponent has dark but then who would have guessed a dark ranger

Both nec matches showed I still need some refinement in nec v orc without mass confusion/PM. It was like a guessing game of which orc stack would wreak most havoc
Concentrate on one & the others come up & wack -> bleh
(or in case of executioners: wack,wack --> bleh, wack,wack-->bleh)
Hav won was very fortunate to get mass defl missile on last mentor chance...plus very lucky on atb to be able to frenzy at exactly right moments...
Also dunno what possessed me to pick dark AND light

So close yet so far. One of my more interesting games with the primus, so very close But then out first game was decided on 8hp.

Well, had a few matches with Elvin to check things out. Unfortunately Hamachi runs badly on my Vista installation, to the point of requiring a system restore when I restart after connecting with it. Found a hotfix but I don't know if it works yet.

I would but at work and have yet to fix my computer loosing signal (working too much ). Hopefully by wednesday you can throughly school me in how to play Heroes of Might and Magic.
