Err, who is who?
On an unrelated note, I don't see why Ossir shouldn't start with his archers (either that or none of the specialists should start with anything). Arcanes are a big deal in full games because of their creeping power, but in these duel matches I don't get what's so amazing about them. I'd rather face Ossir over Ylthin and her unicorns of doom. All of the melee unit specialists are actually good in these matches (except for maybe the sucky zombie lord). Razzak is deadly. The Vampire Lord of course is good. Etc.

Dude AA aren't overrated. They do the damage equal to an empowered lucky Implosion on range and defense doesn't even matter to them oO. You don't even need Ossir for that. Just Luck or Favoured enemy. They are scary as snow man. But if you're online in our temple bout you can let me get Ossir and not prioritize my Arcanes let's see how you fare .

Come I'll show you if I get Sylvan (ok maybe not THAT bad but 1,5 k damage isn't a big surprise versus them so I'd hardly say they're overrated.)

Luck and favored enemy are attributed to the hero, not the unit. You could annihilate a stack with a luck + favored attack with your dragons also, and the dragons can also tank and have better initiative.
I'm not saying they're a bad unit, but IMO the High Druids, Unicorns, and Dragons are all more valuable then them.

The problem with Arcanes is that if you don't elliminate them by killing, blocking or dark magic they will go Ted Bundy on your stacks one by one. Only the dragons are more dangerous than them.

Err, I agree that I like Ylthin/Gilraen better in these duels than Ossir as less chance to neuter the unihorn/windrider advantage but I think more AA's than normal can be super in some situations... I'm not sure that Razzak/Vamp lord is deadly (= I don't seem to win with those)

Oh, and keep in mind that Orson is awesome. I actually managed to hold my own against Elvin with him. That game ended in a disconnect though, so it remains undecided.
And I really don't get why so many of you are bashing the Zombies, they work perfectly in their role. This is not heroes 3

And I just game out of another 1 hour long game with Blizzard with Zehir by my side once more. And he brought Defense with him once more xD. Long long intense match where his Rune of Magic Control gave me a heart attack once I had casted AA oO. Was a fun game. I'm really beginning to like the Master of Elements.
EDIT: Then again I only won because of him going summoning without Runic Armour. If I'd been Light Magic (especially with Helmar) I'm pretty sure I'd been fried oh and if his luck had stolen my AA instead of my Endurance^^. AA+Golems rock .

Two random duels, with me and Elvin. We did Orcs vs. Dungeon, and swapped roles in match 2. It resulted in two victories to the Orcs; me and Elvin won one match each!

Just fought blizzard, got extreamly lucky and actually won one of the games (the other two was slaughters). Think the ONLY reason I won the first was because it was inferno vs stronghold. Even then it was way too close. He beat me 1-2 but I am just stoked I won a game!

Absolutely, and no I was Deleb (inferno) and he was Haggash (Stronghold) without shatter dark. Dark pretty much owned the day.

Woaw. In my opinion it's more difficult for Inferno to pull it off simply because their tiny defense values vs. Orcs insane damage and high defense stats can prove to be a hard nut to crack. Even without shatter dark they can be a freakin tough nut to crack. Now if I could just see that replay...

Here's the replays:
In my futile lifelong quest to make the one-trick-pony faction perform a 2nd trick, it ended in disaster. Inferno diced through me with glee:
Stronghold Bliz, Inferno Mytical
2nd game was an old-fashioned runic slaughter. Mytical was inferno again, except her troops were hopeless:
Fortress Bliz, Inferno Mytical
3rd game was my dark Necro vs Mytical's destructive wizard. Naughty naughty Mytical didn't use MotW, and I had 35% destructive protection anyway, so it was an uphill fight either way:
Necro Bliz, Academy Mytical

Man Az, you think Inferno sucks vs everything Fortress is the only faction they have trouble with. Everything else is fair game, and they tend to perform really well against orc.

Inferno rocks your socks versus orcs. By no means hopeless but with a little luck I'd say the demons have an edge.
