Into the Age of the Gods - OOC
Yes, I have decided to start an RP. It will not be D&D based, it won't have formal battles, levels, or any formal gameplay elements, and will not have a DM; the world and the story will be generated by the individual players as the RP progresses.
Brief background:
Two years ago, the well-loved King Zurdir died after ruling the Kingdom of Mirne for twenty years. He left no heir, and the land degenerated into a civil war, with several factions, some dominated by Zurdir's vassals, some by brigands, and some by resourceful adventurers from the neighboring of Srhed.
For two years the war has gone on, until what seems like a peace has come: Mvass, a warrior and spellcaster of unknown origins gained the trust of one of the lords. During a battle, the lord was slain, and Mvass took control of his faction. Eventually, the faction gained more and more ground, and, at the Battle of Highpass, Mvass triumphed over his enemies, signed a peace, and appeared to become the new King.
Meanwhile, there were strange things going about. From the neighboring land of Srhed, there were first strange rumors and then an actual working example of a ranged weapon called a gun. The wizards of both lands, though, said that it was nonsense and would never be able to compete with magic, nor even have the effectiveness of an enchanted bow, being much more difficult to enchant. The Dwarves of the nearby Underland Clanbind, however, said that the invention had great promise, and began to work on it.
However, a few days before Mvass was to be crowned, he noticed that there was a strange man in his chamber. He quickly realized that the man was an assassin. After killing the intruder, Mvass went out of his chamber, and was attacked by the guards that were supposed to protect his room. After most of the castle guards began to chase after him, Mvass realized that he undermined by somebody, and fled, eventually arriving at a faraway village.

Class/Abilities/Skills: Pretty good at using a sword, and is a good spellcaster, specializing in fire spells.

When I first saw the IC, I thought you were writing an ego story. Now I see you are trying to have other people dance around your ego story.

This is no more of an Mvass ego story than LHW was a Deimos ego story. How am I supposed to include other characters into the background if no one else has created characters yet? 
Really, I haven't participated in an RP for a while, and I'm trying to get a new one started. Don't hang the dead chicken of my early LHW days around my neck.
