The Thread: M.E.G.A. (RPG)
The Challenge:
Pick a character in MEGA RPG or create a new one. Write a flashback scene during that character's childhood.

Overlord`s Childhood
Spartan warriors were trained only from the finest young men to create an elite force of ultimate soldiers. But what happened to the other children? Those who were not strong enough to carry the proud Spartan tradition? Some say they were discarded at birth, left to die alone. However, the truth was much, much worse…
Three Spartan boys were walking through the city. They were strong, athletic and agile – true sons of Sparta. Suddenly, one of them stopped and said to his friends:
“Look, guys!” He pointed at a little, skinny kid who was sitting near the path, “If it isn’t Gaylord Overstein! Let’s go say ‘hello’!”
Little Gaylord saw the trio coming his way and tried to run away, but the fast sons of Sparta caught up with him in a matter of seconds. They surrounded the little kid with evil grins on their faces. Gaylord was scared, he cried “Let me go!” and tried to run past one the boys, but the boy caught him and pushed him into the hands of his friend, who in turn pushed Gaylord into the hands of the third one and so on. Each time they pushed the poor child they said something to him:
“You know what our teacher told us today, Gaylord?”
*PUSH*
“He said that weak, pathetic kids like you are only spared for one reason…”
*SHOVE*
“So that true warriors like us can beat them up and feel superior!”
At this point the boys threw poor Gaylord on the ground and started kicking him mercilessly. He covered his head with his hands and started to cry, but the more he cried the harder they kicked him. It went on for a minute or two until a grown man came out of the nearby house and shouted to the boys:
“What are you doing?!?! Stop that at once!” The boys stopped beating the sobbing Gaylord and stepped aside while the man kept coming closer, still talking to them, “How many times do I have to tell you not to do that? Kicking little children who are weaker than you is wrong. You gain no actual fighting skill from kicking a lying man. You should hit him with sticks – that way you’ll practice your sword skills. Here take these.”
The trio took a big wooden stick each from the man and proceeded beating up Gaylord using all the skill they had. The grown man stepped aside and watched, commenting from time to time:
“Good. That’s good. Now work on your thrusting movement. Just like that. Perfect.”
Some minutes later the boys finally got bored. They returned the sticks to the man and thanked him for his help. After the man got back inside the house, they kicked Gaylord a little more just to let out the remaining adrenaline and went on their way.
Slowly, very slowly Gaylord Overstein stood up from the ground. He stood there on his shaking legs, bleeding all over himself. Every movement he made was like travelling to the deepest level of Hell and back, but still he gathered the last ounces of his strength and shouted to the boys with his childish high-pitched voice:
“You will pay! You will all pay for that! One day I’ll make you all pay! I will fight and defeat you! But I will not fight as a Spartan! I will wear armor! Great armor that will protect me from your weak attacks! It will be cool too – black with… with spikes! Yeah! And… and I will have a sword! A big sword with like… fire and stuff! And I will get my reven… ARRRGHH!”
“Nice rock throwing there, man.”
“Yeah, you should go to Athens and join the Olympics or something.”
“Naaah, sport games are for weaklings. Now let’s go find some more pathetic boys and practice raping.”
“… you meant – pathetic girls, right?”
“Uhhhh, yeah, yeah, off course that’s what I meant…”

I haven't been quite keeping up with the M.E.G.A.-storyline, so I'll just create a character as if the RPG just started.
Name: White Rush aka Cold Kaine
alignment: C.O.E.D.
superpowers: Gains superstrength and immunity to pain as he takes his dose of narcotics, preferrably cocaine/ crystal meth...
strengths: has the nasty tendency to not run out of 'his stuff' and not going insane
weakness: he isn't nice company to be with... In either state...
catchpharse: "I can feel it flowing, it's ecstatic." "Just the eery breeze that flows through my nose is pure ecstacy!"
background: White Rush was a cool guy back before he took drugs. He was just born for the college life of partying and drinking and neglecting his studies. In fact, he realised that whenever he was absorbed by the alcohol, the world became weaker than him and everything became quite clear. The next big step he had to undertake were drugs of course and so he did.
He went along his merry way, doing... We're not sure what he did, but C.O.E.D. hired him nonetheless which stopped his career of doing shady stuff and elevated him to the life of supervillainy.... like robbing banks and stuff...
So, one day, Poppin Snort, which was White Rush' real name, before the transformation, he went out to buy ice cream. Of course, he lost his way as he encountered a few pubs along the way and pubs are as hard to caually pass as the Great Wall of China, if you'd asked him. So he entered and drank and by God, did the boy drink along with the men just fine. In fact, later that night... 16 hours later to be precise, he decided it might be for the best to return home. Of course, he could just walk home, but when you're drunk about every thought in your brain is solid gold. He decided to use this solid gold as a means to get home. The plan wasn't very complex or thought out, for that matter. He just came up with 'car-surfing'. This incredible sport is still known under the name 'suicide'. The plan was to jump of a bridge on the highway. Should there be a car beneath you, you have your ride, otherwiise... Tough luck...
So with the devil's luck he landed on a truck and jumped from one car to the other one. This caused damage to many, many behicles and the police was to be called, yet it availed not, since Poppin Snort (who from then on was called: speed tripper) had already returned home. This was his first contact with the life of crime he was going to life in.
