Unique Perk Contest

PERK CREATION COMPETITION: DESCRIPTION:
In this competition, you have to invent a new perk that will be unique for one of the eight existing factions in Heroes 5. This perk must be under one of the general skills rather than a racial or ultimate. All information concerning the perk must be given or else your score will be penalized. So you should have the following:

-The name of the perk
-The skill it is under and the prerequisites for it
-A detailed and clear description of the perk

Because creating a perk is pretty quick, you will be making two unique perks at a time, and the total score of both perks will be added up to determine who wins the round.

I will judge based on the following:

Creativity: Is the perk something refreshing and new or is it similar to an already existing perk? Does the unique perk feel like it fits in with the faction that it belongs to?

Realism: Can you see this perk actually being added into the game? Or is it overly complicated, unclearly explained, underpowered, or overpowered?
Note: I realize that game balance is a very difficult thing to judge, and it involves a lot of play testing, so I won’t be very strict with this. However if it is quite obviously drastically overpowered or underpowered, then you will receive a score deduction. Remember that hard-to-get perks tend to be stronger than easy-to-get perks.

  **********************************************************

ROUND 1

For this round you are to create two unique perks for the Necropolis faction. I won’t set a deadline for this round yet since I just started this competition and I need to see if people actually participate or not.

UPDATE: The deadline for Round 1 is the end of December 6th. Anybody is free to join in

This contest looks interesting for me to join...if I have the time...

Anyway, deadline is 6 December?  That should hopefully be enough time for me to to think of some new ideas for necropolis perks (even though I dun really play necropolis)

Well even if you don't play Necropolis you still play against it, right? So you should know about their special abilities

True, and it is one of the factions I don't like to face early in the game (the other is inferno), but necropolis focuses around death and undead anyway, ever since Heroes 3 (my first Heroes game).

Let me see if I can think of something creative and not deviating from main theme...

Just in case anybody doesn't know, you can go to this website to look at all the different skills & perks for the factions and maybe get some ideas on where to set up your unique perks:

woah, I've just realized necromancer can learn empathy

seal of light : requires expert luck + dead man's curse.
the luck of the target(s) of a dark spell cast by your hero is decreased by 1 x level of the spell. with a mass spell, the luck is decreased by 1/2 x level of the spell, rounded up.

corrupt ground : requires pathfinding + advanced logistics.
the path taken by the hero will be corrupt for 2 turns. enemies heroes have an additional penalty of 25% (in movement cost) when they walk on the corrupt ground. moreover, the corrupt ground decreases the moral of enemies by 1, and cancel all their bonuses for fighting on a familiar ground (including the +2 speed bonus of the perk "familiar ground")

nice presentation asheera

Splendor of the Dead: Leadership Perk, requires Empathy and Dead Man's Curse
All undead troops under hero's command (including living creatures under the effects of Vampirism spell) will be affected by Morale.

Ultimate Reanimator: Summoning Magic Perk, requires Master of Life and Lord of the Undead
The Raise Dead spell cast by this hero will not reduce the HP of the target stack by 20% anymore.
