Not for the competition but I'm quite happy since no one else posted that idea.

Haven
inspiring leader
Requires logistic expert, pathfinding, scouting, leadership basic, recruitment.
the bonus of your logisitic skill is increased by +3% for every morale point of your hero (not your creatures)

Not for the competition :

Sylvan
Invisible stalker
requires logistic expert, scouting, silent stalker
the hero will be invisible to any non neutral army (including castles and garrisons), as long as he stay away from their scouting radius. if he is discovered, the effects of silent stalker still apply.

the hero will be discovered if he ends his turn in the scouting radius of a non neutral army, or attacks a non neutral army or a non neutral army moves close enough from him.
but of course he will only be visible to the armies of this color.

flagging a mine, for example, doesn't reveal the hero, but may give a hint to the other player.

to become invisible again, you have to start a turn away from the scouting radius of any army of that color, and finish it in the same conditions.

Not for the competition :

Academy
Omniscience
Requires logistic advanced, scouting, enlightment basic, eagle eye
the hero can now foresee the result of an interaction with an object of the adventure map by displaying the information about it. the building must be within your scouting radius.

what kind of informations can you get?
-how much gold / xp / how many ressources in a gold chest, a campfire, etc... if you are going to receive an artifact, you'll see which one too. you may even see what you are gonna receive for defeating a dragon utopia before attacking it for example.
-what spell you may learn
-what bonus to your stats you will get (if it is random, or changes daily)
-what skill/perk you may learn
-what spells/artifacts you may buy
-messages on signs or in bottles

Great explorer

Academy
Artificier: Magic Mirror + Logistics: Scouting + Navigation Great explorer

Increases hero's movement speed at sea by 25% (total = 75% with Navigation perk), the hero receives +8 to his range of view when he's in a boat, else only +4. He can disembark (not embark) with his army for only 50% of his remaining movement points.

ALL (friendly or not) adventure map locations and battle sites (on sea or not) visited by the hero give him a random bonus (cumulative) till the end of his next battle (+1 luck, moral, attack, defense, power, knowledge) or permanently (mana restoration (1 free day), random ressources (equivalent to 500-1500gold) or random low-tier (1-4) creatures from Academy (equivalent to 500-1500gold)).
Each location can give only 1 bonus per month.

Prereqs - Storm winds, pathfinding
The Runes under the Runelord's control have been imbued with the speed of the wind. All units get +2 speed. and +1 init if they are under the effect of a rune.

necropolis

Logistics - Cursed soil
Prereqs - Basic Logistics, Corrupted soil
A small area around the necromancer is cursed(3 heros wide and 3 heros long) as he walks around. The terrain type of the cursed soil is more difficult to traverse and requires 30% more movement points by the enemy hero to cross. It will disappear after 5 days.

wow, I think I actually posted almost the same perk, in a previous contest.

page 1. 2nd perk ever posted on this topic

Quote:
corrupt ground : requires pathfinding + advanced logistics.
the path taken by the hero will be corrupt for 2 turns. enemies heroes have an additional penalty of 25% (in movement cost) when they walk on the corrupt ground. moreover, the corrupt ground decreases the moral of enemies by 1, and cancel all their bonuses for fighting on a familiar ground (including the +2 speed bonus of the perk "familiar ground")

Not for the competition :

Inferno
Gates master
Requires Logistics advanced, pathfinding, sorcery basic, arcane training.
Increase the efficiency of adventure spells.

-summon boats costs 2 mana instead of 4

-the cost to summon creatures is halved and the hero only loses 25% of his movement points, instead of 75%.

-the cost of instant travel is reduced from 15 to 10 and the hero loses 33% of his movement instead of 50%

-the cost of castle gate is reduced from 20 to 15 and the hero loses 66% of his movement points instead of 100%
the required level to learn this spell is 15 instead of 20

Blizzard, there is no way that with JUST positioning they can block a range stack.  First..they person doesn't get to choose their positiong..it is automatic, second when I say middle I mean middle.  They are not large either (Ie no 2x2).  But meh.

Well, that sucks a bit, Fauch, you have the perk gotten down I mulled over, but I still will bring it, since it's a different idea.

NOT FOR THE COMPETITION

Perk for BARBARIAN

Greater Talisman

Prerequisites:

Expert Logistics, Warpath, Advanced Enlightenment, Intelligence.

Effect:

a) The hero gets a price reduction for all 4 Talisman levels. EVERY talisman level will cost 500 gold and ONE (1) resource of each of the necessary resources less than the usual price.

b) Additionally the following changes for the adventure spells are enabled:
1) The mana for casting Shalassa's Vessel is halved to 2.
2)Summon Creatures will use up only 50% of the Hero movement. Additionally the mana cost for the Summoning is altered: The Barbarian can summon FIVE level 1 creatures, THREE  level 2 creatures, and TWO level 3 Creatures per point of mana
3)The cost for Instant Travel is reduced to 12 points of mana. Aditionally the hero uses only 33% of his movement allowance.
4) Town Portal costs only 15 mana.

NOT FOR THE COMPETITION

Perk for WIZARD

Superior Battle Intelligence

Prerequisites:

Expert Logistics, Swift Mind, Basic Attack, Tactics, Magic Mirror.

Effect:
The Wizard deploys his/her troops AFTER the opponent, seeing the deployment of the opponent, including neutrals!
If two Wizards with this perk meet, it cancels each other out like Tactics.

would be better for sylvan. especially with wyngaal
why do everyone has the same ideas as me?
and interestingly, I thought about the perk you've just posted but considered it was imba.

berny mac, that perk, despite being very situationnal is just insane. it would even allow you to crush the defense of an over protected city having a grail.

imagine the royal griffin.
init 15 x 2 ==> 30 + power of speed 30 x 1,3 ==> 39
speed 7 + deathmarch ==> 11 x 2 ==> 22
he could just hit and run without any retaliation or crush all the enemy shooters before they could even act.

Enlightment(maybe Intelligence) is a must requirement here imo. Its too hardcore and yet easy to get.

why do everyone has the same ideas as me?

Fauch it is not that everyone has the same ideas as yourself it's that you have no concern for decision. Out of the first 7 perks posted 4 were yours. I've said it before but I don't think it hurts to say it again: not everybody in here who posts one idea has just had one idea. It just prooves that he thought it to be the best from the ones he had. Now where is the upside? By just posting one idea he doesn't ruin perks for others who have had similar ideas to his other ones.
I simply find it disrespectful to just post whatever comes into your head. Or is it some sort of active try to sabotage he others? You write down as much stuff as possible in hope of ruining other ideas so that there's less competition? What do you gain from posting perks you don't want to enter? All they do is damage the process. It's cool to be creative sure but then perhaps post your other ideas once the round is done?
I don't get it... every round Jolly and you post 3~4 perks. What for? Post the one you want to enter, it's called being considerate. If you don't want a perk to enter what purpose does it have? If it's for the fun of it (which is all good of course it's cool to see new perks) then you can post them when the round is done, when they don't sabotage people... this contest is about creativity, it shouldn't be about who posts his idea the fastest.

@Jolly
Not sure where you thought it'd be overdoing it for other factions but the faction that probably gets the biggest boost from this is Stronghold lol. And if you ask me the perk is way to powerful. Positioning against Stronghold is a crucial game factor and like this it's basically rape. The idea is great for sure but not with Stronghold and with such lovely prerequests (if you get to Battle Shout first against an opponent with Tactics or Fear my roar against one without or anything actually you have a ridiculous advantage).

@Berny
Your perk is too powerful [/understatemet]. It's pretty much out of touch with reality.
