Visions of H6 - By a chaotic mind

Although because I become distracted, bored, and otherwise loose track of my ideas..some are either too great (or too terrible depending on who you ask) not to set down even if not all the way done.  So I bring to you the start of 3 new factions..that if people keep me on track may be finished one day .

First I will lay the foundation.  Who said that only one of the dragon gods need to be worshiped in a faction (let alone dragon gods at all, but I digress).  Also, people seem to be interested in a Naga faction..so I give you the Catacombs (race name to be figured out later).

Deep in the murky depths creatures stirred that have not yet been seen by any on the surface world.  As their world was Darkness and Water, naturally they worshiped the Dragons of both.  While man was but an infant, the history of these creatures spanned centuries.  Over the eons they created a huge expanse of Catacombs that stretched miles under the sea.  Their mages studied many texts that the surface world had assumed lost for ages, or could not fathom even existed, and with these powerful magics could soon survive not only under water but on land.
It was no utopian society, however.  The strong ruled with an iron fist, and the weak do their bidding or parish.

Racial Ability - Regenerate  (racial special subject to change when I regain my sanity)
Basic Level - All creatures native to the Catacombs regen x*teir level*number of creatures in health each turn. However none can be resurrected at basic level.
Advanced Level - All creatures native to the Catacombs regen (x+2)*teir level*number of creatures in health.  Z*hero level maximum can be resurrected this way.
Expert level - (X+2+y) otherwise like advance level.
Ultimate Level - (X+4+Y) and no limit on how many can be ressurected this way.

Master of Water - All ice spells become available to cast..at +2 spell power. -4 spellpower for any enemy spellcaster casting any ice related spell.

Dark Embrace - All dark spells cast by heroes of the Catacombs have +2 Spell power and any enemy spell caster suffers -4 spellpower when casting dark spells.

Arcane Legacy (This may become the main racial and regen fall to the 'secondary' racial)- Grants access to unique long forgoten (to other races) spells depending on heroes level.  Level 1-4 level 1 spells, level 5-8, level 2, etc.

Because of their heritage they are forbiden to learn fire magics, and will be unable to pick up any.  So in destructive magic they have a new perk other then master of fire.

Dampen Flame - Negates any armor reduction effects caused by Master of Flames.

Water Shell - Cancels Ignite if the enemy has it.

Light magic weilders are considered pariahs and have similar perks as dark magic weilders in haven. (Instead of getting bonuses to dark for lower morale, they get bonuses to light for lower morale).

They also do not have balista, but use net launchers.  The launchers do not do damage, but slows any unit to 50% speed for 2 turns and can't be countered by any magic (they also can target creatures with the spell magical immunity on them).  Their healing tents are the waterproof kind .

Working on units next.  Was going to make some of them undead, but I am going to use those for my 'neutrals'.  Then the 'unique' spells .

I got a question:

What is 'X', what is 'Z' and what 'Y' ... I mean, okey, they are variables, but what do they stand for?

Stands for "I am not sure yet what strength would make the ability balanced with other racial abilities yet."

"*number of creatures" seems a bit high for me. Maybe X can be something like the hero's spellpower.

Well what it actually means is that each creature in the stack regens a small amount.  The max number that can be resurrected however will forever be small.  But you are right..need something to replace it...not sure what..updating some other info now.

Yes I am still working on this.  Just not during the holidays
