A few questions on faction creation
Hi, I'm just starting creating my first faction and I've hit a few bumps in the road when it comes to the back story.
Firstly, worship. Do people just make up their own deities? Or is there a list somewhere I can look at?
My second issue is the timeline section of the framework. How the heck do people know all of that? I mean, I've played the games many times, but I clearly haven't absorbed very much of the story. Where can I find this stuff out?
The rest of it, I kinda get, so these are my only questions for now

There are 14 official, major gods in Ashan (if you count the demon overlords as gods.
1. Elrath, the Dragon of Light - His race is the Angels, although many humans converted to Elrath later
2. Shalassa, the Dragon of Water - Her race is the Naga.
3. Malassa, the Dragon of Darkness - Her race is the Faceless. The Dark Elves later converted to her.
4. Sylvanna, the Dragon of Earth - Her race is the Wood Elves.
5. Arkath, the Dragon of Fire - His race is the Dwarves.
6. Sylath, the Dragon of Air - His race is the humans and the humans of the Free Cities in the east still worship him as their main religion. The Orcs have adopted Sylath too as Father Sky (and perhaps Asha/Sylvanna a Mother Earth).
7. Asha, the Dragon of Order - the leader of the elemental dragons listed above.
Six random demon overlords which we dont know ANYTHING about. They might be the Sovereigns actualy, but it seems unlikely.
Anyway, there elader is the Dragon of Chaos, Urgash.
There is a timeline on heroesofmightandmagic.com and celestialheavens.com - just search around for timeline for important events and add new events for your own faction.

That's just in Ashan of course, there's also the Worlds of Colony and Axeoth available, or, it you're feeling more adventurous you could create your own world (I'm personally not too happy with the whole 'dragon gods' thing, it's an already too overused idea).

I'm sorry for this offtopic,but I have an idea (I think is crazy)
What about having an Altar Questions Topic?
because I saw some problems of the other people like this and I think shouldn't be open threads for questions in the Altar
I like very much your system in the Temple,and it should also be in the Altar.
For example,one time I asked GL on HCM about opening a thread,and I also have some ideas writed on Notepads on my Desktop,and I'm not sure if those ideas are good enough for opening a thread,so they can be posted first in that Questions Topic,and then if they are ok,the person is allowed to post,and if they are not long or good-enough they won't be allowed to post.
This is only an idea,and if will be put in work you will decide,of course
