Why is CS 1.6 better than CS:S?
From my expiriance Id say that 1.6 is "easier" to play(mean on aim).
And graphic is too old now. And still on every tournament people playing 1.6. Source was active in Championship Gaming Series but its dead. So what actually makes 1.6 better than Source?!

Everything,1.6=best CS graphics+gameplay,Source sucks so bad as soon as i installed it by the look i had to delete,not to mention its unplayable to me and my friends.Even 1.5 was better then Source.
*clicks Submit and opens CS 1.6*

What's so great about Counter-strike? Yeah I know sometimes you can play tactically and it gets interesting, but there are better mods, such as The Specialists, for Half-Life 1 if you want

CS 1.5 and 1.6 are best games ever,i never got bored of them and they CS is one of the first game i played,i was in 1st grade.Even Heroes get boring,but not CS,u have to live with it.

Did you play other mods, such as the one I said above?
What about Firearms? Did you play that mod? If so, did you like it?
it's much more interesting team-play IMO.

I played some mods and played half-life,but it just didnt interest me.Half-life is fun to play with friends,but it gets boring as for me.Half life 1 was very good until i got to the end and foguht that huge flying eye looking guy,after that the story made no sense.All i knew is that im fighting monsters from other dimesions,nothing else.Maybe i need to play 2 to find out,i dont know.

team fortress 2 is really good. I liked half life deathmatch too (except the imba gluon "vacuum cleaner" gun). never was a big fan of CS. it's ok to play from time to time, but I feel that campers have a too big advantage in this game.

1.6 just got a better gameplay... I think it is tougher and you need more experience to be really good at it. Source is to easy, the aim is unrealistic... :S Come on we play UT because we want to hit where we aim!
The graphic is alright but not that good in Source. I just want Gameplay and that is why 1.6 rocks..

OMG...the world is crazy about CS.....
I have it just so I can say i have it, and I play it very rarely. My version is CS:S v34 (Non - official) and the graphics are amazing. It's very realistic (Like some of the new DX 10 games, but for DX 9 or older, not sure)

You're not the only one here. whats with people and CS? As for online FPS i'd choose good old UT2k4 or Call of Duty.
