For the moment I am experiencing problems. Full test do not work as worked testing each quest separately. For some reason, a TM trigger occurs before the program generate a random value and this screws the random Orders ambushes. I must find another way. Also it seems the number of creatures you can bring into map with !!UN:I is limited. After 20 or so, the upcoming creatures do not interact anymore. So I will have to try via events.

I had the same problem with objects (namely dwellings) - they were placed, but didn't function at all. Probably their number exceeded the maximum number allowed on a map.

I fixed it. I have +200 objects on map so it is heavy. But in last test they all functioned.

A puzzle from James Vogan:

Seems easy, isn't it?

Oh my god! He really screwed it!

After 10 minutes of clicking, the shield is mine:

Can't be that. I played your maps and I can say I use in this one 1 billion more objects and they work.

There is always a solution to overcome those annoying things. There is an option in ERM to generate a random value using the internal PC's clock. You can't generate two values like that (they will be identical) but for only one, it solved my problem with ambush from orders.
!!VR#:S0 T12;

For the creatures which did not interact anymore I just changed the location until the game accepts it. Cross the fingers...

Four months later...

Just a small reminder: the test ran fine and I kicked Xerxes ass. That means the only thing I miss to release the beast(40 Mo) are the graphics.

zzzzzzz....

So more Spartans survived than actually went to the battle?

Just kidding, great to hear the tests went fine. Back up the files!

Yes, but I am the only one to know exactly what quest give and make them in a precise order. That is optimal play, and allowed only to the mapmaker, you know what I mean.

I don't expect players to be able to recruit so many spartans, or not before playing it several times. The puzzles and plots are quite difficult to solve and I finished the map with many quests not yet done, no time.

And also I know how to play the battles and AI respects me
I had minimal loses.

The capital plot is to find Theron the traitor. He is visiting and corrupting a noble every turn, in a random order. If you catch him before Xerxes, then the final battle will be easier (56000 athenians archers additional)

If not, your are dead meat.

Almost ready, it'll be in your hands today.  I'm really sorry about the delay - when I've made the tutorial you won't have to rely on my laziness skills any more.

EDIT: And here we go.  Unfortunately I couldn't test it in the game or create a reversal pack with the original creature .defs since I corrupted my .lod files, but I'm 90% sure these portraits are okay.  I renamed the portraits as you asked, though you'll need to rename the creature .defs (Shaman is ZM181NPC).  If you find a glitch or problem, let me know.

Here are the results:

Adventure screen:ok

Hero screen, not ok

I also thought the editor icons will be in, but there is nothing. We need a such tutorial.

That's weird, it looks like a palette defect.  Are all the icons like that?

I don't know how to make adventure map versions for each creature.  That's Darkloke's territory.  I didn't know you needed them.

No problem for editor icons, I can put them lately or not. But the palette problem is one. I will look if all are like that.

Did you try the icons Darkloke sent? Posted one page before.

I viewed them, but I couldn't try them in game.  This isn't a big deal, I know how to fix it, just didn't think it'd turn up when I made the images.

Everything is fine except the CABEHE. He shows in battle but not when in slots (hero screen), palette screwed.

Here they are (first 6 waves, 7th is secret, with the horror creature)

The player can view those screens in the game, so he can choose his splits before being attacked.
