Why does HC hate WoW/MMOs?
Im a member of a lot of websites.
But yet, the only site that has shown any resistance against Blizzards mighty sovereignty. But soon you will be crushed... you will also be corrupted and addicted to their games...
Because the Universe of Starcraft is upon you!
Anyway, back to topic and away from the stupid "roleplay".

Why do the people here hate WoW so much?
Give me some reasons why you hate it.
Thats its addicting is not an option. All games can be addiciting and Blizzard did not intend the game to be like that.
Also do people just hate WoW or MMOs in general (like Dark Age of Camelot, Age of Conan, Lord of the Rings Online, Warhammer Online etc) ?
Tell me.

Well I can speak for my case, obviously, don't know about the others and probably they have different reasons.
I don't hate MMOs at all. I don't "hate" WoW, I just don't like it because:
1) Warcraft Graphics (you know what I mean  ) ruin the atmosphere of the game for me completely, and I can't enjoy it because of that (it's like hearing heavy metal music in HoMM)
2) I don't like the Warcraft Lore at all... I know many will be shocked, but it just doesn't appeal to me.
3) I hate the monthly fee - I would have tried some MMOs (not WoW though) but because of this monthly fee I did not. This doesn't mean I don't like MMOs and their gameplay though, only that I don't like paying monthly to enjoy a game.

It holds absolutely zero atmosphere for me...
The lore is so strange that I wouldn't touch it with a stick...
Monthly fee... the one thing that keeps me from playing Age of Reckoning...

HC haters WoW and MMOs .Actually i like them,esp Dota Allstars.And u dont have to pay monthly fee to play those games,like WoW,Lineage,u need to know where to get them.

Most MMOs have comic style.
Warhammer, LOTRO both have comic style.
All MMOs have monthly fees (except some rare like guild wars).
Could you tell me what is wrong/weird with Warcraft lore?
I guess some people might think its kind of weird that Orcs are good and everything is vice versa from other universes (like the Undead and orcs as I said are good and the humans are bad etc).
But then I hate Dungeons and Dragons and the Warhammer Universe so I should not say anything.
btw why do you like Starcraft then? Starcraft also has great cinematics but the same graphical style as Warcraft.
All Blizzard games are comic in one way or another.
btw, I will search my WoW screenshot folder and upload my favorite screenshots (I took a picture when I turned to the max level lol).
Maybe you will change your mind.

Have you guys ever played warcraft..? The graphics thing sounds funny, it just has its own distinct style true to its roots. How many avoided warcraft because they did not like the graphics and why would the same apply to wow? Lore was well written and interesting, perhaps you found it too dramatic for your taste? Besides who cares about lore when playing wow 
Only reason for my dislike is the constant milking from blizzard, goes against my principles.

For one thing, it just killed too much of what Warcraft III did right with the story. Having a cascade of idiots strolling into the Black Citadel, releasing a character thought to be dead and slaughtering Illidan Stormrage just didn't cut it... no matter how "epic" it may have been to "experience".
And turning Kael into Illidan's enemy was cheap. Congrats, everything you just worked for in The Frozen Throne's second campaign has just been torn to pieces by an unfortunate plague of haxx0rs.

I hate WoW because of several reasons. First of all: repetitive gameplay... (grind + no real tactics in gameplay)
Second: poor literacy is kool!
Third: some people don't even know what they're playing and **** it up for the rest of us me.
Fourth: fee
Five: camping
Six: most other players
Seven: habitual lag

Anyway, I'm not really sure what makes me hate the warcraft lore... but one thing is sure, I don't hate all Blizzard universes.
The Starcraft world is awesome, so is Sanctuary, but the Warcraft one... I don't know, maybe it's because of the Orcs coming from a different planet and everything (that's true right?)
Anyway, it just feels too complex and alien to me.

There's nothing "wrong" with Warcraft Lore, since it seems it appeals to some people... but it's just me that doesn't like it at all.

I suppose it's only a matter before some crazy leveled heroes attack and defeat the lich king in his lair.. I had heard about Illidan but have no idea what other atrocities wow has done to the storyline. Btw what has it added to the plot so far?

? In the end all companies etc wants to earn money. What do you mean with this? I dont understand, its not like they rush their games to release them like most other companies.

The combat is indeed fast paced. I kill an enemy on my Hunter in like 5 seconds (and the enemy is the same level as me).
But there are defintly tactics. Every single boss has usually an unique tactic. In raids tactics mean everything.
Pre-TBC it was just to much tactics. In the 40-man raids, if one single player of those 40 people did something wrong the entire group died.
Now its slightly easier - but teamwork and tactics needed to make progress in end-game content (which is not hard to access).

Adrius; the Orcs came from a portal or huge gateway. Portals have always been in fantasy. Warcraft has nothing common with Warhammer except green orcs and "War" in its name.

The story is developing. Some people say that there is no story in WoW - but those have never played the game and I could easly make a good Wc3 campaign of WoW.

I can understand the monthly fee issues. I have two subscriptions, one for LOTRO (but I think I will freeze it, the game community is dead and it seems that there is no population at all) and one for WoW.
I dont think its expensive.

Oh believe me... Warcraft MUST have more things in common with Warhammer... there's no way around it. Everybody borrows stuff from eachother (Warhammer was among the earlier creations though)
Bah... it all comes down to this for me: It's not worth the money!
Sure, I would probably play it if it weren't for the monthly fee... but as it is now, I just don't think it's worth it (I'm pretty sure I would get bored though)
There's so much more things I can do for the money... like buy some hamburgers...
EDIT: Forget it... I hate it anyway. I can't make up my mind about this game...

sorry, xerox, but warhammer is more brutal than warcraft. Warcraft is kid friendly
(except the rogue abilities, they have very warhammer-like icons)
Habitual lag happens when server is overpopulated or a horde of average PC's come together in one area
Well, I had a respawner in enemy terrority in an area where PvP couldn't be turned off
I also had a level 60 guy in my starter area
Okay, those are the obvious ones, xerox. I'll cut down on the smileys.
I hate most other players, because of:
1) bad literacy is kool!
2) Those Damn Nigs and chinks with they bad social issues thingies ain't rite!
3) pwned suxxor!
I also hate them for being plain dumb and provocative in more means than one. I hate them for not immersing in the so-called 'great game' *wink* *wink* .I hate the brevity of most battles, like you said. The battles almost never involve skill, only who has the better, epix boots of Mcguffin and sword of pwnzzor. And even then you'll probably be killed by a random rogue anyway.
It takes forever to do the tailoring skill properly, which is just a faint attempt at lengthening gameplay. The way to find skill trainers and some quests are nigh impossible. I get killed easily by glitches or bugs, so I have to travel all the way back to my corpse. the flights are in need of a movie or something, because the envionment is monotonous enough to fall asleep during it and they get quite costly whenever I forget something in undercity. Banks and inventory is okay, but I am usually in bad need of inventory slots to work my objects around which I will probably never ever need but I carry them around in case of.
I also hate players who act like there is skill to it. I also hate players with bad litteracy and I cannot stress that enough! If you don't speak English, don't go on a server in that language, damnit!
