Sorry for this coc violating begining, but I don't know why, but I want to castrate xerox. Really. I do. At least this way it'll be one retarded wowocholic less.

Warcraft lore is original? Hell no. Everything has been seen somewhere else.
The first BL invasion, civil war amongst sharpears. Reminds of something? Like Horus Heresy?
Old Gods. One name: H. P. Lovecraft. Cthulhu Mythos books.
Quiraji= Zerg+ Tyranids+ Insects+ Ancient Egypt
Burning Legion- Chaos forces. Just no equivalent to Eye of Terror, Four Chaos Gods and traitorous humans.
The Horde: pagan nations of various continents, mainly american indians, and a bit of samurai culture.
Alliance- medieval europe.
Loads of various mythologies.
Etc etc etc...

Matthias Lehner is not a person, yes. He was created in Arthas mindscape. He is Arthas remaining humanity. Matthias Lehner is an anagram of Arthas Menethil.
But Mathias is "killed" in WotLK.

The Forsaken joined the Horde because Thrall needed a force to watch out what was going on in Lordaeron and the Eastern Kingdoms. Has you might know, the Horde basically has no large forces in the Eastern Kingdoms and the Forsaken provides this.
The Forsaken are loyal members to Horde at the moment, after the Wrathgate betrayal.

The Blood Elves joined the Horde through the Forsaken and so that the Horde could get a link to Outland and what was going on there. The Blood Elves had no other force to turn too then the Horde, and I think Thrall would accept most races which might be a horrible mistake. Thrall had no idea what the Forsaken was doing in Lordaeron... untill it was to late and a group of Forsaken betrayed the Horde and killed many of their forces in Northrend.
And the Alliance blames the Horde for Bolvars death.
The Forsakens invite into the Horde as resulted in a new war against the Alliance, which did not exist before WotLK where the Alliance and the Horde cooperated.

The Draenei were forced to flee from Outland due to the Legion and Illidari etc. The Blood Elves of Netherstorm had hijacked the Naaru dimensional fortress (read teleporting spaceship) Tempest Keep. The Draenei took back on satelite/vessel of Tempest Keep called the Exodar.
However, there will still Blood Elves onboard and the Blood Elves crashed Exodar on purpose to kill the Draenei.
The Exodar crashed on Azeroth as it was the closest planet and lies in the same solar system as Outland.

Well, if you play WoW then there are no humans in the Plaguelands anymore All are dead. I would also like to mention that the Lich Kings attack on the major cities in the begining of Wrath of the Lich King was on purpose, so that he could lure the Alliance and the Horde to Northrend were the Scourge are strong.

After the Third War, the Scourge focused on Northrend instead. Constructing the fortress around Icecrown Citadel and securing the continent etc. During that time the Darkfallen and Liches controlled the Scourge. The Darkfallen are elven nobles that fell during the Invasion of Quel'thalas. Some people think that King Anasterian Sunstrider was raised into a Darkfallen. They look like vampires.

Illidan returned to Outland after the battle beneath the Frozen Throne. The Illidari were a lot weakened then, and it became worse when Kael'thas betrayed Illidan to play with his demon friends. The lllidari needed an army to counter Kil'jaedans return, the Horde and the Alliance and thats why they mass-produced Fel Orcs using Maghtheridon in TBC.
Illidan is executed by Maiev in the game and Lady Vashj is killed by the players.
But keep in mind that in the lore the players are footmen and it will be written down like this:

"Lady Vashj, Illidans right hand, died as the allies of the Cenarion Expedition ventured inside the Serpentshrine Cavern and killed her guardians." or something like that.

Kael'thas wanted to still the addiction of his people, and the fel energies of Demons was a good source.
It seems like Kae'thas took a little bit to much fel energies instead, making the demons be able to control him instead of the other way around.
Kael'thas had gathered the energies from the Twisting Nether to ignite the Sunwell again. Kael'thas was then to be used to summon Kil'jaedan to the world through the Sunwell (much like Sargeras was supposed to be summoned through the Well of Eternity in WotA).

Well, Akama betrayed Illidan. Akama allied with Illidan because the Black Temple was once a great Draenei temple called Karabor, where Akama was a priest (back when he was a Draenei and not one of the broken).
But Akama saw that the Temple had only got yet another sinister master. Akama infilitrates the Temple with his tribe, the Ashtounge Deathsworn alongside agents of the Sha'tar (the main faction on Outland).
The Blood Elves "cure" was demonic fel energies, its even stated in Warcraft 3. Its not like Maiev killed everybody in the Black Temple alone

I have to say that the lore in TBC  kind of sucked and Blizzard has even said sorry for it and that the Illidan situation didnt turn out as they wanted. The worst part of TBC was Zul'aman. So basically the quests state that you only raid it because you want epics and treasures...
But with WotLK Blizzard has really started to pay attention to the Warcraft lore more. I like most things in WotLK lorewise except that Mal'ganis survived and fled back to Xoroth.

And yes, it is revealed that Muradin survived in WotLK.

This is actually Muradin: http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=29593

Sorry, but what is Horus Hersesy? The War of the Ancients lore are contained in three books IRL that you can buy or download. I only did a short summary of the events, obviously the three books contains a thousand times more information and sub-plots etc such as when Neltharion becomes Deathwing and the Demon Soul etc.

Yes, the Old Gods are refence to Cthulu. Blizzard loves pop culture refrences and the Old Gods are supposed to be like that.
There is a reason why there are C'thun = Cthulu, Yogg-Saron = Yog-Sothoth and Faceless Ones = Deep Ones etc.

The Burning Legion is very different from the forces of Chaos in Warhammer '
The Legion also has a goal and not "Kill all living things!". To reorder the universe and destroy what the Titans have done and just start over. Although with Sargeras absense it has turned into something else.

Yes, Ahn'qiraji has an egyptain theme. So? So if I make a game and a building is inspired by arabic architecture, then I have automatically stolen it? This was the most stupid thing I have ever heard. So all games must come up with their own architecture for all races.

There are discussions about that Warcraft was supposed to be a Warhammer game. Blizzard wanted to buy the rights of Warhammer but didnt get them so they made Warcraft and Starcraft instead of "The Lost Vikings reloaded".
And nowdays, I see very much difference between Tyranids, Silithid and Zerg except that they are insectoid.

I guess Heroes 3 is not orginal then either. As it has only races from mythology. Stop posting here Kipshasz, most of your points are ridiculous. Go and drink your beer and I will be happy that I will have a much more successful life then you and not spending all my remaining money on alcohol.

According to your logic, LOTR and any fantasy universe in the world isnt orginal either because they didnt come up with every damn thing for themself without any sources of inspiration.

Horus Heresy.

Also the Chaos Gods goal isn't to "Kill all living things!" (don't post if you don't know anything about it!!!! Were have I heard that before?)

I don't want to go into detail but each of the four Chaos Gods got their own goal, only one includes "Kill all living things". (Maybe 2 if you include Khorne, but he still needs living things that can kill other living things )

I doubt very much that Blizzard got inspiration for the Titans VS Burning Legion VS Worlds conflict from that
So an universial demon race has to be inspired by Horus Heresy? Soon Cepheus will show up and say that the Burning Legion is inspired from the Kreegans

In Warcraft 1 the Demons came from hell. Then Blizzard changed to that our religions had nothing to do with another world so they came from the Twisting Nether instead (which was supposed to be like hell) and then they changed the Twisting Nether to be a chaotic plane in space.

Well, the cultists and the summonning through the portals, the conquering of entire planets and the fasination with blood are things they have very much in common, xerox. A doomguard looks a lot like an awakened champion (chosen) of Khorne. But then again, they us eboth generic fantasy, so calling it a bloody rip-off is pushing it. It IS similar though.

Dagoth: One of my most favourite quotes, but I also like this one (from a named champion of Khorne)

Well, my plan is to buy four books at bargain price (price'll be around ten pounds). Then buy an epic fantasy (last year it was the sword of shannara series) (No, I refuse to buy warcraft novels since they will probably **** up my entire interpretation of the series). I thought: why not warhammer novels? They don't sell a lot of fantasy in belgium, especially in the original language, but not even the biggest library in antwerp has a warhammer novel, so I decided to check that out. Especially, since we did an rpg about it and I've grown quite interested in it.

Anyway, what wer ewe talking about again? WARCRAFT! Riiiight...

Is it only mean or are Blizzard aiming for world domination?

"With over 12 million subscribers worldwide, World of Warcraft is the biggest MMO community with global reach.  And Blizzard doesn’t stop its locomotion to reach every computer in the world.  WildTangent and Blizzard Entertainment have partnered to bring the World of Warcraft 14-day trial to every single Dell, HP, Acer, Toshiba and Lenovo PC and Laptop—say whoa?  Now that’s the stuff.  That means the WoW Trial will reach 75 million computers sold in the past three years. "

Sick marketing.

I'm prettu sure EA will win before that, what with all those halo gimmicks they sell, before became the big monster it is. personally, I think wow reached the peek of it's fandom and now, it will lower, until a sequel or stunt will make it peek again.
