well I think japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, not chinese - so it's normal to hear japanese in the movie, right pal? Besides that movie does not take any side - it's just showing how it was (or believe it was - by the time it was made - historians believed that Roosevelt never knew about the attack - but now some of them believe that he may knew something... aha).

Robo Vampire: the worst kung fu flick ever made. Four subplots, only one of which is sorta resolved. Horrible dubbing, nonsensical sets, and badly done fight scenes. Worth ever penny I paid for it!
Hated Final Destination for personal reasons. Never got into any "teen movie".
Finally, Wishmaster 2 was light years ahead of 3.

I agree with malkia here. Tora Tora Tora was a good movie.
So it is not only the story. It is the directing and the point of view most of all that makes a movie good or bad.

If you listened to the movie, you would have heard that when the first matrix was made it was a paradise and people kept waking up so they had to incinerate them. Then they made one based on today.

agree with you. I watched CELL some weeks ago. Was good in the begining. But catching a psychopath - going through his mind in childhood - how do they do that  ? If Jenni Lopez was specially trained for going inside brains - how the cop got so easy ? Also he got some me gun there - to shoot the guy over.
I have to disagree with the "reality check" statement you've made about the cell. Even though this was a purely fabricated story line, you can't tell me it's not a real, and true possibility. Even as we speak the US military is developing bio chemical "suits" for Stronger, Faster, more endurable personell. But then again, who remembers the Rocketeer? (Movie from the early ninties, when US gov't promised many of it's countrymen would own and operate their own personal jet packs for primary transportation purposes-and that's based on a true story.)

hey that's me who said that muhahaha - well okay - maybe...
MATRIX as an idea and perception has nothing to do with our perceptions at this point & time - it's beyond what we can think is normal - and if we live up to such times - nobody will ever able to bear it - it's the extra movie that makes the things unperfect. it's one more movie which proves that we can always lie to ourselves, and that having 1000 more options is worse than having one. Having 1000 paths is worse than one. It shows in this specific case that Knowledge is evil. You should read your bible, son Blah blah blah blah.... (I have to improve my text-generator anyway)

A couple of things:
I think those of you who thrash Titanic never gave it a fair chance. You were so biased by the time you got to the movie that even if the movie looked exactly like Braveheart (only it was named Titanic and Leo played William Wallace (that would have been a sight!)), you would still say it sucked.
You throw yourselves on the wave of criticism against this movie because you wish to be part of an intellectual superior part of society, never giving the movie a chance to speak for itself.
I did this myself the first time I saw it, and let noone doubt my low opinion of this movie. But a little while ago they reran it, and I had nothing better to do, so I thought "what the heck, I missed some of the movie because I fell asleep the last time", and watched it. And guess what? I sat there, more or less mesmerized through the whole thing, not turning it off even though it aired late and I had to get up very early the next morning.
It is much the same as we see with Britney Spears. Critics slaughter her, and so many people who believe themselves independent thinkers (but in fact often are less so than almost everyone else) uncritically join the critisizing, because they unconsciously believes that this elevates them above the 'common man'.
I'm not saying that Britney Spears is the greatest artist in the world (Donald Fagen and Walter Becker are), I'm saying that a lot of people say they hate her and her music when they have never tried listening to it with an open mind. This reeks pathetic and sad.
Oh yeah, bad movies: Ladies Man. Saw it the other day... this movie is an emergency... there are so many holes in the story it's like a swiss cheese without the cheese... the acting is so flat and artificial you can't believe they actually released this product...
And, as previously mentioned, Swordfish. Mainly because of the tremendous flaws of the story, so many things that lack explanation or coherence, it makes you wonder if even the writers had a clue.

My picks...
1. Titanic
I just don't hate this movie so I could be an intellectual but because the movie is nothing but sentimental-crap-cake with cherry on top (special effects).
Leonardo did his best part in "What's eating Gilbert Grape?" and after that he has only done parts where he can keep his teenidol-image as it is. Pathetic effort from Cameron.
2. Pearl Harbour
Do we need more patriotic crap than this? Sorry but I hate patriotic movies that including all the warmovies made in my homecountry. Forget this and go watch some warmovie that has something to say like Red Thin Line.
3. Postman
What was Kevin Costner thinking?
4. Waterworld
Same as Postman.
5. Any Adam Sandler "comedy"
Geez...guy thinks he is so funny...and in the end...he isn't funny at all. I don't even hate or pity this guy. Saying he is idiot would be praise.
More...
I could have picked most of the Hollywood crap what is done nowadays and most of the 80's films. Of course there is lot intellectual/artistic crap done in Europe...

Yes the Postman was a horrible movie. But the book is actually quite good, it was written by David Brin who is one of the better SciFi authors out there. Do yourself a favor and read his Uplift Wars books.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this so far: Street Fighter. Usually I don't remember the name of bad movies but Street Fighter is on top of them so I can't seem to forget it. But the fighting sections of that movie gave me a good laugh so maybe it is not that bad afterall.
Dungeons & Dragons: The trailer alone gave me a good image of what this movie really is: crap. I'm lucky that I never went to see it.

I like really bad movies there great and cheesy! Esp most horrors and acton ones!
The only ones i hate is really sappy ones and total american crap seen in most disaster movies in the 90's.
I really hate how in each there so damn predictable i mean you just know all the main characters of importance will live, including ever god damn dog in the film.
The worst offender for me was Armageddon it was so pathetically patriotic,sappy and utterly PC it made me angry

Must agree with all of you three...
I think I have read postman as book before I saw it as movie. That's why it felt so pathetic movie...
Street Fighter was horrible flick but I tried to watch it as comedy rather than action packed film.
And I forgot all about Armageddon...You can replace waterworld with that anyday. I mean is there more complete utter trash than that film and it's soundtrack including some Aerosmith crap? I think not.
