@ Ayreon: A ladybug haha... You crack me up, man.

@ Salamandre: After yesterday's humiliation at Elvin's H5 Duel Tournament, I can use some self-esteem boost. Believe it or not, Skeleton_King has actually developed his main quite nicely... Ayreon's hero is decent although low level - nothing a few fights can't change. But he's lucky the Blue is Builder hehe...

Again, this is not a match to show off our non-existant skills but to have fun. And it's been great so far, at least I enjoyed it very much. A pity we couldn't find another dedicated player though.

Month 2, Week 1, Day 6

Tazar plowed through the hordes of undead risen from the sands to defend the garrison and found himself on the other side of the gate. "Go away... go away", someone else's voice was whispering in his head, and the beastmaster realized the plague that struck the island was not natural but a deed of a powerful necromancer. It was too late though, because a flight of Ghost Dragons swooped in and killed a handful of unwary Gnolls. Tazar cursed, for it was his fault: he had to upgrade his Serpent Flies as soon as possible.

The foul wyrms returned to dust from which they came, but left bitter taste in the warrior's mouth.

Malekith stood watching nearby, amazed that his master hadn't sent him first into the evil fog to explore - and thus saved his worthless life. But Tazar just turned around and said: "My mouth is dry and my wineskin is empty... Let's visit that oasis."

Meanwhile, Zydar was working on his diploma: due to the war, he had dropped out of the magic university and now had the rare chance to go back and finish his studies.

When his scouts reported later that evening, Zydar decided to whip up a note to his ally Orrin:

"Next week I will clear the path to the green Keymaster's Tent so you might want to send your scout soon. In addition, a bearer of the blue flag named Tyris is stranded on a desert island in the north, along with her mighty army... Thought you might be interested!"

Month 2, Week 1, Day 7

As Cuthbert woke up and began searching for his chain body, one of his archers entered his tent.
"Master, I don't think we should attack their town now."
"Why not?" asked the cleric.
"They have reinforcements."
Cuthbert stepped out of his tent and could see several monks standing near the walls.
"Oh dammit!" he said.

Orrin had more luck, since the town hadn't changed a bit. His troops attacked, and they were far superior to the defenders. They were falling one by one, out on the fields. Out on the streets a thousand more would die in vain, if only Orrin would not be kind enough to let them live. As a gift to the newly conquered town, he built a monastery. The town's citizens hereby accepted him as the new owner of the town. But secretly Orrin only did this so he could have some reinforcements the next day.

Month 2, Week 1, Day 7

After he had defeated the undead garrison, Tazar noticed there were living critters on the island after all, no doubt spawned or stranded after the plague. Both Pixies and Rocs wanted to join, and the beastmaster was lucky he had Malekith to take care of the newcomers.

Tazar entered the ruins of what once might have been a proud knight hall. A dozen solemn guards slowly blocked his path, but the beastmaster's archers took care of these dead warriors. "Follow me, great heroes of the yesteryear! Together we shall regain your old glory!" A handful of gaunt riders stepped forward in silence, seemingly not paying attention to the coins Tazar had just scattered before the hooves of their fearsome mounts. "Mindless creatures", he thought, "I hope I don't end this way."

However, he knew they would mean a lot in the ensuing battle for  another garrison swarming with foul monsters, this one protected by anti-magic and on his way to the Yellow Keymaster's Tent. Dozens of strongest undead abominations managed to kill only Tazar's stack of Liches (as if to punish them for treason) and the beastmaster gained a few new skills, including Expert Air magic.

That's all he cared for at the moment, for the source of the darkness - a castle of the local necromancer - was just a day away.

@Vlaad: If you attack the castle, please screenshot

Month 2, Week 2, Day 1

As the new week commenced, Orrin bought some additions to the newly conquered city's monastery, gave the monks in there new robes, and recruited some of them as reinforcements. He was planning to attack the main town soon, and he needed every creature he could get.

Cuthbert was playing the highwayman in the blue duchy. All mines were soon flagged with a red flag instead of a blue one. But when he rode north, Cuthbert's eye caught a beastmaster, carrying a tan flag, on the shore of the lands of the blue. Accompanied by a few harpies, the beastmaster had set up his tent widely, as if it was his land he slept on.
Cuthbert did not know what he saw and shouted towards him:
"Hey Beastmaster! Go away! This castle is ours to conquer!!!"
One of the harpies shot him a foul look, and Cuthbert could only hope that these words hadn't killed their allyship.

Month 2, Week 2, Day 1

In the far south, Bron and his Harpies docked on an unfamiliar island. Instead of a warm welcome, they were rudely warned by a bearer of the red flag (named Cuthbert) not to claim anything. "Oh well", Bron sighed, "I guess we should feel happy we were not attacked!" As a token of good will, the tan scout left a present for the masters of this land, because his mission was far more important than stealing resources - he was looking for another Keymaster's Tent. So Bron just chuckled and rode off, doing his best not to block the narrow forest path.

Meanwhile in the north, Tazar's scouts performed some simple chaining in order to get their master the perfect roster: Krellion got lost in the black fog among the sand dunes, but managed to reach Malekith, who then caught up with Tazar and let him choose the troops for the attack on the necromancer's castle.

The beastmaster picked a strange mixture of fliers and dispensable creatures, and decided to leave strong but useless walkers with Malekith.

Round 1 Tazar cast Expert Haste, the Rocs hit the throng of Liches, followed by Wyverns... The Serpent Flies waited for the Pixies to suffer the retaliation of Ghost Dragons - then finally swooped in and struck them.

Round two Tazar had to make sure the five hundred Skeletons don't hit his fragile Flies, so he ordered the remaining Rocs to block their way (while the Flies were attacking the Liches).

And before it really began - it was all over.

Needless to say, Tazar's catapult kept missing everything.

Fortunately, the necromancer wasn't at home.

Month 2, Week 2, Day 2

Orrin quickly upgraded the newly recruited archers, and then set course for the enemy. What surprised him a little was that the garrison Cuthbert was supposed to have claimed, was not a bearer of the red flag, but one of the tan flag. What could bring our noble ally into the lands of the blue?
The gatekeeper stopped him.
"Only bearers of the tan flag may pass, sir."
"And their friends?"
"Must ask permission."
"Well shall I just claim this garrison then? Or were you planning to stop my whole army on your own?"
"Erm... well... if you really need to, move along then."
When he reached the other side of the garrison, he noticed Bron lying in the grass. He decided to step off his horse and approached the beastmaster.

"Morning, emmissary from Tazar!" he called
"Mornin'!" replied Bron.
"What news is there from the swamps of Tatalia?"

"My master sends his regards, sir", Bron replied, trying to stay calm although all the sabre rattling made him nervous, "As we speak, Tazar is getting ready to leave the plagued island where he defeated the undead scourge and claimed the castle of Ghostwind. His two servants, Malekith and Krellion, will sail with him to terra incognita in the north. They plan to stop only for a day near the Tatalian coast in order to finally upgrade their troops in our northernmost town... where another adjutant named Jaeger is supposed to bring the army he has gathered all the way from the south marshes. Finally, a witch called Merist has been sent to the island of lava to locate one more Keymaster's tent." The beastmaster paused, but Orrin's face remained expressionless and the knight didn't speak, as if still waiting for the real answer. "I am here as a scout myself, sir", Bron continued humbly, "on a quest to obtain the last key needed to pass through the gates beyond which the Behemoths dwell. My master has asked you to do the same: send your men to the sea and visit the tents, should you be the one to fight the dreadful beasts, sir. My orders are to stay here as long as it takes you to clean the way to the Blue Tent... I will make no trouble", the scout finished, stepping aside to make way for the knight and his army.

Month 2, Week 2, Day 3

After hearing Bron's story, Orrin intended to give him a quick knod and march on again. His little plan was slightly sabotaged by a sudden uproar from Bron's harpies.
"What's happening?" he asked the beastmaster.
"Oh nothing much..." Bron replied with a foul look to the north. Cuthbert was coming from that very direction, and went through the garrison.
"I'll be off then." And Orrin took his army to the last castle with the blue flag.
As his troops approached the fort, there was no refined thoughtline necessary to conclude that the enemy has long expected this fight. They had a strong first strike as well, as the towers quickly killed a pack of marksmen, the champions rode forward killed the necessary amount of Orrin's men. Their Royal Griffins flew over the walls, their speed was enhanced by their good morale, and teased Orrin's Halberdiers.
Without a sign of despair, Orrin returned a powerful blow. The champions and their royal griffins died by the hands of Orrin's zealots and griffins. The others were soon to follow, for one of the enemy's swordsmen forgot to think and began to stand in the middle of the gate, giving Orrin's men a chance to enter the walls, and gain a relatively easy victory. Only the marksmen did not like the outcome, although most of the ones that participated in the battle could not really care anymore.

Month 2, Week 2, Day 3

The Tatalian fleet was heading north toward the unexplored lands... There was no news from Bron, but Tazar wished his allies listened to his advice. Although he was secretly hoping to be the one who eventually gets to slay the Behemoths, the beastmaster simply could not be sure he would finish the task... And if he fell in battle, the quest would have to be completed by Orrin! Alas, Tazar's favorite goddess of Load had no power in this part of the world...

Meanwhile, Zydar dealt with the last intruder on his island - he defeated Caitlin and her Castle army... Now he was ready to clear the way to the Green Keymaster's Tent and return to the adventure.

Month 2, Week 2, Day 4

Encouraged by the official victory on the bearers of the blue flag, Orrin and his minions simply explored the lands a little, gathering a mine as they went.
Orrin noticed that Bron, the emissary of Tazar, was still on the same spot as where he was before. He thought about what the beastmaster had told him... to send scouts to look for keymasters tents... He had enough income here in the homelands, so he could miss a scout or two. He sent Loynis into the open sea, and recruited Sorsha for the very same mission. They were gonna show Tazar that the bearers of the red flag are powerful allies!
If only Tyris would stay on that island in the north...

Month 2, Week 2, Day 4

While the other three boats were exploring the northern seas, Tazar's ship docked at the Tatalian coast. The beastmaster didn't leave the vessel for he hated the whole ordeal, so he recruited yet another scout (a mischief-maker named Gird) to lead his troops to the nearest town, upgrade and return them all tomorrow morning.

So Tazar spent the evening on board with twenty Dread Knights... They kept vigil in complete silence without food or rest, for they didn't need any. "It's like I'm witnessing my own deathwatch", thought the beastmaster. Needless to say, he didn't sleep well that night.

Zydar was infuriated by the inactivity of  the day. He had recruited a scout named Axsis to ferry troops from the western part of the Island, while keeping Ignatius busy by telling him to see what spell was to be learned from the shrine ahead of him. It was unforunately the Land Mine spell, and therefore usless to him. Octavia flagged a sulfur dune to provide resources for the empire. She also discovered a witch hut, a star axis, a learning stone, and schools of War and Magic. She was too slow, however, and her horse and troops were exhauseted before she could claim a Hall of Sins for her master. Erdamonn moved to kill some wolf raiders who were blocking the way to a school of magic (which would please his master), but his troops had not the strength to go so far. Ashcombe celebrated an updraded Fire Lake. The empire's gold was exhausted by this and the recruitment of some troops for Zydar, but hopefully it would be recovered later.
