Thanks everyone. I'd also like to thank Ayreon, who not only killed the blue player, but also has been there from the very beginning. His role playing was very inspiring. And thanks to you too, vancho1, for joining and enabling us to finish the adventure in style. Good to have you, hope you'll stay.

As for your problems with video files, no idea how to help you, sorry.

So grandpa won alone. Congrats. Next time make it all vs all to make it more picky.
The problem is we cannot fight each other offline, in fact we shouldn't even block each other's way... (Or am I missing something here?)

But a race to the finish would be more interesting, yes.

Oh well. I thought it was something that colud be fixed.
About a "Race to the Finish" map:
You could make a map that has a condition "Accquire Artifact X." (or capture town X, defeat hero, etc.)
This artifact/town/hero/whatever will be acessable by a series of levels and guarded portals. Water Walk, Fly, and Dimension door should be disabled. The levels and portals are guarded by progressivley harder creatures, and the portals may be guarded by quest guards who ask you to do something on that level. Obbjects may be ERM scripted to make your quest easier. There will be no human/human interaction, but it will still be a race between the players.
What do you think?

I think it's a great idea. Actually I've been planning to revive those offline tournaments for a while now, they were fun in the old days. No role playing, just a friendly competition. I'll post a new thread tomorrow, so stay tuned and sharpen your swords, folks.

Yeah. I hate to say it, but I don't remember much. I see it has three versions: Normal, Hard and Very Hard. So how hard is it? We don't want our players stuck half way through...

The AI start in same conditions as you. It is hard because there is a lot of explore and everything is well guarded. Very well.

WOW Vlaad what a spectacular ending of the tale.
It was a nice game to play, thanks to you, Vlaad, Hell_Wizard, Skeleton_King and vancho1. Epic ending.

Are vancho and I supposed to tell what happened to Orrin and Zydar as well?

What happened to Orrin?

He woke up, and got out of his creaking bed to get a bit of water for his face. Then he opened the window and looked out on the mighty lands of Haven...
When he turned around, his eye caught an object lying on the table. Memories of what has happened in the past... He remembered re-reading his diary from the time of the 300 Behemoths yesterday evening, but for some reason, because of that very object, he filled himself with beer instead. With the nasty consequences ofcourse, he now suffered from terrible headache.
He concluded that he must face his past, how terrifying and heartbreaking it must've been, he read on in his diary...

Month 2, Week 3, Day 2
"This day was the day. I heard rumors from the wind that Sorsha and Loynis were returning home, even though I ordered them to do otherwise. What could have caused this insubordination? They will know my anger when they arrive on the shore, meanwhile I will attack the garrison that prevents me and my allies from getting to the keymaster's tent."

Month 2, Week 3, Day 3
"CHAAARGGE!!! As soon as my soldiers had set foot near the garrison, their champions rode out and squashed a pack of my halberdiers. My zealots however managed to disable most of their unit, due to their high morale. I keep telling myself that my men are the best, but they tell me that my leadership is the finest. We eventually won the fight, but sustained heavy losses nonetheless. I did not count the exact number of losses, for I was tired myself. The battle had exhausted me, tomorrow I will count them and send roses to their families."

Month 2, Week 3, Day 4
"Did you ever lost a friend so dear? A comrad, who you could laugh with, sceam with, and who you could trust? He was my best friend for years, my loyal commander for decades... Mirko, my friend, I miss you... Why did you have to perish? You had the ability to shoot after all... If only I had foreseen this, I would not have attacked that garrison.
Why? Because a short time after I buried my friend, a pigeon came with a note no its paw. A note from Tazar. After reading it... I just had to get away... Had to flee, had to run away for my regrets, my mistakes... I am heading for the far away lands of Axeoth, where I might start a new beginning, swear allegiance to a new Lord, and retain my honor."

Orrin closed the diary. Tears were in his eyes again as the picture of his dead friend came alive in his head again. On the table, the object lay silently, until Orrin got it. It was a note, the very same note, he received from Tazar that very day. He read it again...

"Hello, good ally Orrin,
Rejoice my friend, for the beasts are slain!
No more need for keymaster's tents,
The Behemoths are no more and the inhabitants are proud
They organised a large feast for us, Zydar, you and me.
Come to my Fortress before the next week commences."

What happened:
That day, Zydar was met by a crowd of people singing and dancing, rejoicing at the fact that the behemoths were dead. He was put into a red robe, he was given a conical hat, and he was given the job of keeping a library of magic. Zydar browsed through the scrolls each day, and his knowledge of magic increased.
Years later, in a secluded mountain refuge, he found in a cabinet a dusty conical hat. He saw next to it a scroll of magic, which when opened, related the tale. He sat there, listening to the scroll over and over again.
Those were the days of heroes.
