Week 4, Day 6

Orrin arrived at Kanan under heavy applause. He had given them income, mines and victories. The horses were taken to the stables to be fed with water. His men marched to the tavern, ready to take a drink. Before Orrin knew what was going on, his army was provided with better equipment, since his stuff was quite outdated. Since it did cost a lot of money, he wanted to protest, but his commander shushed him.
"Science is our reliance," he spoke.
"Reliance is our weakness," Orrin responded.
"Weakness is defiance," concluded Mirko, and speeded to the tavern where one of his brothers in arms was waiting with a good fine ale.

Week 4, Day 6

Tazar spent the day in this enchanted valley enjoying the spoils of war (including his new sword). He and his commander met in the evening in the beastmaster's tent - their temporary war room in days to come - to ponder their next steps, as well as the final battle against the Behemoths. If Tazar got to fight the monsters, he knew he would rather have Tactics instead of Ballistics...

Since he was to claim another gold mine soon, he decided to send some coins Orrin's way.

Meanwhile on the northern island, Xarfax was the last purple hero standing. Once a mighty warrior, this veteran was now surrounded by Zydar and his scouts - and all his tactics won't help him much against the hordes of these newcomers.

Are they? The stack experience is disabled (actually, it was you who suggested it on page 2, lest they become undefeatable).

I'm also counting on my commander...

I did not know you disabled the experience. But then it will be piece of cake for a such monster hero. They are immune to earth only when the script is activated.

Do you have force field somewhere? You could beat them with only lizards and an ammo cart.

Yeah. The only catch is we have to visit a bunch of keymaster's tents to get to the behemoths... or learn Fly or Dimension Door.

Week 4, Day 7

As Orrin intended to leave town again in order to whipe out the blue threat from the south, his troops had to leave the road.
"What unnoble being has the right to remove me from the road?!" spat Orrin. A large caravan with tons of cartwheels passed the army as it was observed suspiciously. What Orrin did not know was that this was another gift from their beloved ally Tazar, containing 10000 gold coins.

Loynis, holding guard in the City Hall of Kanan, was on a more rational line of thought when the caravan arrived at the Castle gates. He welcomed the emmissaries of the noble ally and spend the money on the foundation of the Capitol.
The seventh day of the fourth week will be a national feast now, because that was the day Kanan got their capitol.

For the record, this is Orrin's current status:

Not even comparable to the greatness of Tazar... What am I doing wrong?

Week 4, Day 7

Tazar's fleet spread throughout the eastern seas, carrying reinforcements and exploring the unknown lands. The beastmaster claimed two mines and visited the dark blue tent, his second... The next step would be to discover the source of the mysterious darkness spreading from the north.

Meanwhile on the northern island, Zydar's kingdom was under siege! Caitlin, the bearer of the blue flag, managed to summon a ship and leave the desert island... while on the opposite side of the island, one bearer of the pink flag landed on the fiery shore!

My guess is you were too slow. Orrin shouldn't have got off the road and had to fight much more (e.g. that garrison with Pikemen). Finally, upgrading Archers to Marksmen as soon as possible is essential for Castle creeping. On the other hand, I think my part of the map is larger and richer than yours...

The good news is he's still a great hero! Get him Expert Slow next level and you're good to go.

Month 2, Week 1, Day 1

Orrin had planned to break through the garrison today, to kill and slaughter those pikemen who prevented him from travelling through. This plan had become truth, had it not been for Loynis, who walked towards him with additions to Orrin's army. Orrin had to get a little closer to Loynis, and in the end he did not have enough speed to reach the garrison before the day. Next day on the other hand...

Month 2, Week 1, Day 1

While Tazar was busy studying the attack skill with the local Scholar, Malekith did the unthinkable: he disobeyed his master's orders! Instead of bringing some reinforcements, the insolent warlock landed on the central island himself. He had discovered a Rampart and decided to investigate further... The current contingent of troops should allow him to advance deeper into the mainland and perhaps even claim the town, if the bearers of the pink flag don't decide to defend their outpost. Hopefully Djive Merist will be able to reach the renegade minotaur on time and get him some additional gnolls...

"I should have known a minotaur would be too proud to serve anybody", Tazar was thinking aloud. Truth be told, he wasn't angry with Malekith - he would have probably done the same thing.

On the other hand, Bron knew his duty all too well - he left the swamps and sailed south, in search of other keymasters' tents...

On the northern island, a scout named Calid (recruited mainly to boost the kingdom's production of sulfur ) managed to surprise old Xarfax... The purple was vanquished!

Ayreon's turn... and we want a screenshot of the battle!

Month 2, Week 1, Day 2

Bright sun, dry air, bloodthirst. As Orrin's army approached the garrison, the pikemen howled and jeered at them. Some threw small bricks at them and laughed insanely. Orrin had told his men to stay calm and think of possible weaknesses in their defense.
As a battle formality, the leader of the rebels stepped forward and met Orrin in the very middle of the field. He was an old experienced marksman with a terribly unshaved beard.
"You have one last chance, hero," he told him. "Run away while you can."
"I will not be stopped in my quest by a bunch of bushmen," answered Orrin.
"As you wish. You can order your men to start digging your grave, heheh."
They returned to their armies, Orrin's commander blew his horn, and the battle commenced. It were Orrin's zealots who called upon the power of the mighty Lord to summon magic arrows and throw them towards the archers. The remainder of the enemy's archers fired their last arrows at Orrin's marksmen, who in turn eliminated the last of the enemy's shooters.
With their leaders dead, the remaining pikemen lost hope, what resulted in an easy victory for Orrin.

@ Azagal

LOL

@ Ayreon

Good job! My last piece of advice would be NOT to run into that fog of war with your main (but send a scout instead).

Back on the seven seas, Tazar and the crewmen of other four ships were enjoying their peaceful voyage - and were dying of boredom.

Meanwhile on the northern island, Octavia managed to catch a scout with the pink flag named Aeris; the druid and his commander cowardly fled as soon as she killed their dwarf bodyguard. Caitlin and her Castle troops would have been more dangerous opponents, but the blue lady decided to go back and claim a sulfur mine.

Month 2, Week 1, Day 3

Encouraged by the victory of the previous day, Orrin ran into the fog of war, even though his commander advised him not to. So far, no trouble. Loynis did come his way, to explore the more dangerous parts of the land.

Meanwhile, the outpost Orrin had conquered a month ago was fortified.

Month 2, Week 1, Day 3

This morning Tazar's fleet performed a somewhat unusual maneuver: the beastmaster transferred all his troops to Merist. The witch was closer to the coast on which two Dragon Fly Hives had been spotted. Tazar wanted all those accumulated creatures for himself, but didn't want to lose three days on the shore, docking and boarding his ship - so he let his scout flag the precious dwellings.

This information was top secret, of course, because an enemy could attack Tazar from the fog of war. So hush... OR ELSE!

Month 2, Week 1, Day 4

Step by step, Orrin walked through the unknown territory, chasing away the fog of war as he went.
"Master?" asked Mirko, Orrin's commander.
"What?"
"P-perhaps we should go back?"
"Back?"
"Y-yes, and leave the exploring part to a scout, like Tazar advised us."
"Frightened, are we?"
"Yes, master. Aren't you?"
That was a good question. Orrin couldn't answer it, and therefore didn't, but he actually did fear the unknown future that was ahead of him. After a few minutes he shouted:
"Let's go back! I'll send Loynis to explore this area."
Delighted as they were, his men turned around to the garrison.

Month 2, Week 1, Day 4

Tazar finally discovered what might be the source of the darkness spreading from the north. It was another island, smaller than the others, completely barren and lifeless. Black fog crept among the sharp rocks and covered the sands in deadly silence. "Tomorrow we'll see if there's anyone left in that garrison", the beastmaster muttered stroking his sword.

Month 2, Week 1, Day 5

As Orrin approached the garrison, one of his more thirsty marksmen pointed at a local tavern, surrounded by willowtrees.
"Just a small pint, m'Lord?" he asked. Orrin agreed and they all entered the pub. The bartender led Orrin to the 'Heroes Only' section, for it was ofcourse accustomed for Hero and Army to dine and drink separately. He was led to a small, round, wooden table.
"What can I get ya?" asked the bartender.
"A good beer would do."
"As you wish." The bartender went away.
Orrin observed the canteen a bit. The entire room was dimly lit, made of wood, and smelled like rotten beer. There were only a few other customers. Orrin recognized on or two of them from earlier adventures. There was Halon, a Wizard. He once met him at the black market, they both fought over one single artifact. Halon had won it, and he hated him for it. The other was Lord Haart, the traitor. Once a powerful knight, now he is nothing but one of the undead Necromancers. He dared not to look at him, for he feared him.
Suddenly someone tapped him on the shoulder. Orrin turned around. There in the shades sat somebody, who once swore his allegiance to him. Someone, who was sent through the Monolight One-Way, and never returned.
"Cuthbert!" Orrin shouted.
"It's me, my friend."
Orrin hesitated no longer and re-hired the Cleric, but gave him a nasty task immediately, he was bound to explore the fog of war...

Haha, "Heroes Only" section - like a VIP lounge? Makes sense. As for Cuthbert, serves him right hehe.

Month 2, Week 1, Day 5

Tazar and Malekith docked together at the island of death and rode side by side into the evil fog. Tazar didn't mention the warlock's little rebellion; there was no need for words, minotaurs' code of honor was very clear - there was only one thing Malekith could do now to redeem himself.

Meanwhile in the South Sea, Bron was steering his boat along the coast of the Crystal Island (named after numerous crystal caves inhabited by ruby dragons). The scout noticed the bearers of the pink flag had claimed a mine on the shore. "I didn't realize they had explored so much... They could be anywhere!"

Back on the Northern Island, the fiery kingdom was recovering from the war with the purple duchy and working on its economy. A wizard named Halon docked right in front of Ignatius's town, but changed his mind and promptly boarded his ship again when the demoniac recruited some reinforcements. "The rumor has it Halon was seen in a Tavern in the far south yesterday", Ignatius thought, "He is a great Wizard indeed!"

Month 2, Week 1, Day 6

With a cold feeling in his stomach, Cuthbert explored the land further to the East. When he found a castle with average amounts of guards, he sent a messenger back to Orrin. He walked and walked...
When one of his men suddenly gave a scream of horror, he hasted himself to the scene of the scream, only to see one of his pikemen who was scared of a ladybug on his shoulder. He moved through another garrison, behind which he discovered another town... it seemed to be guarded by a single pikeman... Even his small army would be able to defeat it. Tomorrow, he will take a shot.

Orrin was on his way back to the safe side of the garrison, when a messenger came to him.
"Master, master! A Castle, over there! You can take it master, there are hardly any guards!"
With full speed the Knight turned around and ran towards the fort.

While everybody was practising warfare outside the 'safe zone', Loynis found himself bored. There was nothing to do, nothing to learn anymore. He visited the Marletto Tower, studied at the School of Magic... What was left to do? He decided to visit the Den of Thieves one more time, to let them spy for him. The result, he sent to his allies:
