How do I find a Hero's name in H5?

I was using a generic hero with the name "Vayshan" and when ever I use the name in a function like IsHeroAlive("Vayshan") my function fails. However when I use a scenario hero like "Raelag" the function IsHeroAlive("Raelag") works. So, my question is how can I find out the true name of my hero "Vayshan"?
