Gathering of M&M? Heros as a CTG

Alter version of Hero game.

An idea to play with.  In which the unit creations are less ¡§locked¡¨, instead take more inspiration from the CTG (Collectible Table-top Game) structure.

Several ways to this end can be done.  One way I am thinking of is where you have the ability to ¡§collect¡¨ (be it in-game, or from future purchasable contents) different Monster/Unit dwelling, where you can pre-construct your army (or deck) before hand, by picking which units (or their dwellings) to take with you to the map.  You than build it into your castle, and build your army in game the regular way.

This allow more flexibility, meta games, and player customization.  Also it allows more creature variation/addition, instead of the limit to only 6-8 tiers.  Of course resource requirement, level difference/population, factions, and other side elements, such as Hero¡¦s ability, faction bonus, etc. would still play a big part in such game.

Can also be fitted to the box of a Hero of M&M game, or be more CTG and create a new label out of it (Gathering of M&M?  ƒº )

You do know a CCTG based on Heroes already exists, right? But I've toyed with the idea of making a simple card game myself...

But its not just a CCTG of Hero game (though that is one way of doing it, if take a more dramatic change route)

But instead take more aspect of a CCTG (the collectbility, the meta game, the customization, the ease of adding more card/units, etc) and build it into a Hero game.

Oh, OK... Something like BattleForge, for example?

Any specific ideas...?
