H5 Campaign Editor problem

When I create a campaign and add a mission my Map is not in the drop down list.  I dont know why its dot letting me select the maps. I have over 10 in the maps folder yet it only shows me 3. Please help if you can.  Thanks

I wonder if my editor is messed up in some way.  If I make a new map and then make a campaign I cannot see that map in my drop down list where you select the map.  If I delete a map that is in this list from the map directory then its removed from the list so I dont suspect its a path problem.  For some reason I cannot make new campaigns with new maps or certain existing ones.  Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Well I have no experience with custom campaigns, maybe it is intended to not show up? (and only the first map show there?)

Also, I suppose your maps do have a name in the Map Properties set, right?

Yes I do have the name in the Map Properties. If you create a campaign and then select add then a Mission Dialog will pop up.  Click on the drop down list next to map name and you will see all the maps in your map folder.  I can't see any for reason.

Yes, they are single scenarios. I dont know how I could have changed that. I have tested playing them as single scenarios. Can you change a map from single player to multi after creation? Im sorry I have not done anything with multiplayer that I know of.

I was trying to create dialog scenes and I wonder if that might have caused the problem.

To change a Multiplayer map to a Singleplayer one (or vice-versa), you have to open the map file with a Zip editor (WinRar, WinZip, etc)

Then enter the Maps folder you find inside and rename the following folder to "SingleMissions" for singleplayer and "Multiplayer" for multi.

Beep problem

I have a problem with the map editor.

I'm using Vista and whenever I click on an item in the tools panel, my laptop invokes a system "beep" sound - even louder than the one that occurs during system start-up.

Anyone know how to stop this?

Sorry this reply has been a while. The Maps folder inside is "SingleMissions".  FOr some reason those maps and my editor was corupted.  I ended up reinstalling the game and now I can make campaigns again. Im not sure what happened but it even if I copy one of the old maps into my map directory it will not be in the drop down list selection when making a campaign.

I think the H5 Map Editor reads only stuff from the data folder to generate lists and such.

So try to move your map file (or copy it) in data folder, but rename its extension from .h5m to .pak
