@Cepheus: no one seems to answer when I ask how to make the OSM more attractive to newcomers. Also people are focusing on the 2 posts per day example and not acknowledging that my words actually said lets work out a limit per time ratio.

Wait a sec, you mean, this ins't the Wastelands? Ooops!
EDIT: After giving the thread a Quick read, I think that decreasing the Post Limint on OSm would be undesirable (=NO) . Yes, it would limit Quote Wars, but would it also limit the activity thoroughly? I mean, an unactive board is imo a useless one. And if they cannot post in OSM, how else can TheDeath and Mvass fill in their spare time?
And, Imo, it would solve the QW problem (if it'ss a problem at all): it would move it. I've seen Quote Wars bin the Temple and the Tavern before: Why wouldn't it occur more often there?
Quote Wars on their own aren't a problem. The offtopicness that oftenly follows them is.
At least, that my opion of the matter (if it matters at all)

Ok let me restate this very clearly (by the way, I didn't say anything you accused me before of as well but let's ignore that... like "leave that stuff for HC"):
What is wrong with what I said? Was it off-topic? (it was about movies) It wasn't even personal (it was a reply to a goddamn list which could have been everybody's).
What the hell was wrong in saying that she missed a lot? So if someone says in a game "I haven't played it but this looks good" and someone replies "Man, you don't know what you lose!" THAT is a provocation or getting personal?
By the way at least I was on-topic

I somehow have the feeling for needing to say something since this whole situation is based more or less on me. Somehow I think it's my fault...
Sheesh guys please stop this. Phoenix I appreciate you trying to 'defend' me but just stop, maybe we (all) can come to an agreement.
And Death please stop with your arrogance, you could said it much more nicely anyway instead of that sarcastic response.
Also, what was in the past was in the past. Of course, that means it shouldn't happen again, so Death please just stop trying to take every opportunity to find a flaw or fault in someone's post. This doesn't apply only to what you did with my posts, but also for the jokes you 'ruined'. For example take that one where you said the quality of a funny image sucks. Obviously that wasn't the point of the poster at all since the image was supposed to be funny but you just had to find that flaw (quality) and 'attack'. So just please stop with being naughty like that.
Now let's return to the topic of how to make the OSM more enjoyable, hmm? Oh and I vote for a thread-name change to something like "Improving the OSM", I don't know, I think it fits better. IMO of course.

But but... 
Now I mean really, wouldn't it be boring if I didn't point out flaws that most people ignore? You know most times, I'm just joking around with them  (maybe william should take them less seriously a lot less to be exact)
As for the argument with Phoenix, to be honest I thought I was done with it (before this thread of course) but he keeps popping it up for some reason
Not saying I am an angel (lol ) but I just don't like wrong accusations (even on someone else -- though I do not usually 'defend' others because, frankly, I do not even KNOW if it's a wrong accusation or not, since I usually don't know what others have/think; not that I otherwise wouldn't).
I don't think there is anything in the OSM to improve -- I think the attitude needs to change though (and my special derailing mad skillz need to change as well ) -- however I'll give it a break to OSM arguments now (am a bit busy  ) but otherwise I think it is fine. Look at the other threads in it, not all of them are about fierce debates

Because the OSM is NOT only about 2 persons! Why do you think there is a moderator in every tv discussion? Because otherwise those discussions would end like most of the OSM threads here: 2 guys start arguing over and over and no other participant get's the chance to say anything anymore.
Try to involve other members too.
If that doesn't work, create a new OSM thread called "Mvass + TheDeath Quote war" and you can write until your fingers get broken.....
