Soul Calibur V looks pretty interesting actually... got pretty average reviews but I really like the characters they've added.
Especially Pyrrha Omega. Basically a really evil Sophitia with Soul Edge. Dayum.
Not to mention that Nightmare is back to being really badass. His SC4 appearance sucked.

Nightmare. The only character strangers in the arcade ever seemed to pick  Had to slap them up with Yoshimitsu.

DOA5 - Hitomi VS Ayane
So intense! I love how the strikes feel so heavy in DOA.
Music is pretty classic DOA as well... me like. Reminds me of DOA2.

So I was playing BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend and about halfway done with the story mode I must ask: Has anyone figured out what the story is about? I just figured something about this "blue" stuff and computers or something. Also that it gets an added layer of confusing on it when the Japanese word for blue can also mean green.
Seems that the story kind of serves double time as a marketing ploy for the DLC characters that are a part of Extend already...

It's actually a very interesting story but you really have to put the pieces together to make sense of it. It's timeloops and alternate realities and clones and spirits and **** knows what.
90% of the enjoyment lies in realizing just how much of a GOD OF TROLLING Hazama is... so badass...
Seriously it's insane. Every character in the game has at some point had their life ruined by him.

Yeah, I think I've pretty much gotten the whole bit about Calamity Trigger being about a time loop that in the end got broken so now in Continuum Shift the world is in a temporary state of gobbledygook during which this one dude attempts to fiddle around with the magical god-computer from another dimension that oversees the world or something.
My biggest source of confusion pretty much boils down to what the heck was Ragna trying to achieve by messing stuff up and why does the world seem to revolve around him. I don't get what the deal is with that guy.

Entering potentially spoilerish area...
Well Ragna is pretty important... I suppose since you've figured out CT you know he's the Black Beast right?
Also, a version of him that was sent back in a timeloop (known simply as Bloodedge) held back the Black Beast (himself but another version) for months, without using the Blazblue, which implies that he becomes fricking superpowerful somewhere along the line before being sent back in time and stalling the Black Beast so that the Heroes could organize humanity for the battle.
So in short, he's da hero. That last part about Bloodedge still confuses me though... not sure I got it right ^^

That is quite confusing. I do wonder what kind of sense does it make that Ragna is the Black Beast when Hazama tells you that (I'll just assume that this isn't a spoiler) the Black Beast is a "cauldron" that went berserk and that the BlazBlue is basically the same stuff as a cauldron, but the one that Ragna has is some sort of a copy that Hazama made. Does that mean that Ragna is not a man, but an artificial beign made out of them cauldron things?
So, I guess that the dude who made the Murakumo units or whatever they're called, like Nu-13, knew that Ragna was kinda black beasty so he designed them robots to appeal to Ragna's inner lolicon and then get very freudian up in Ragna's grill.
Then the question is, what was Ragna attempting to achieve by wrecking the big bad organization's stuff. It's not like he'd have any way of knowing that it would lead him to the bad guy who burned his home.

It would take a lot of time for me to explain this... hate typing on this smartphone...
I encourage you to google Blazblue plot explanation or something, there are some very interesting discussions on some forums that helps clarifying things.
I do like discussing this but you have no idea how much I'm struggling with this new phone haha

I think I'll actually say something about the gameplay.
I've never been good at fighting games, but now I think that BlazBlue seems like a pretty good game to learn. For some reason at first I was like "Okay, imma' play Rachel!" and then it came to me that playing Rachel is gay, so I stopped and switched to Lambda-11.
Gotta love Lambda-11's wide variety of options for doing a combo. You go: D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, Crescent Sickle.

Or just go Kokujin: MUGEN and go full rape mode.

Yeah, Hakumen does not snow around.
I think Hakumen is a pretty good example of the problem that plagues BlazBlue: Even if it's in English, it's still in Japanese. Hakumen, Tsubaki, Hotaru, SHIPPUU!, Yukikaze, Magatama, Susano-o, all that is Japanese. Hakumen is kind of a proper noun for it's a character name and Susano-o is the god of storms or something in Japanese mythology, but that doesn't mean that it won't further contribute to SOCIALLY and ECONOMICALLY splitting weeaboo and the non-weeaboo. Magatama are basically comma shaped jewels, but it's not like you could say: "Hakumen's special attacks use his jewels." I guess that the difficulty of translating Japanese to English is a simple fact that forever dooms the weeaboo to their own little reference group.
I wonder if it would be politically incorrect to call Hakumen "Whitemask."
Here's Hakumen attacking:
"FIREFLY! CAMELIA TREE! SNOW-WINDWHATEVER! GUST OF WIND!"

Hmm I think Hakumen does translate his moves when he says them though... but yeah there's many other things that they don't translate.
I don't play in English though... find the Japanese voices better. Especially Hazama... crazy basterd, love the voice actor.
Seen this btw?

That's a pretty cool machinima. Thanks. You know, Nu-13 literally says: "Come here Ragna. I'LL GIVE YOU A HUG!"
I don't play in English either really. One thing I really like about BlazBlue is that you can even put the text in Japanese... Which I do... So it came to me as quite a shock that the translation for what's referred to as "blue/green" is Azure.
Another sweet feature I noticed is that in the story mode you can actually mute the voiceovers for specific characters. Like if you start to find Taokaka's screeching meow-speak annoying you can just make her shut up while everybody elses voices are loud and clear. Then again, you can do that with the mute button of your TV remote too... Am I just imagining it or is there something messed up with the sound balance whenever Taokaka speaks?

I'm really digging the new True Devil forms introduced in Tekken: Blood Vengeance, will be cool to play with them in Tekken Tag 2.

Playing Tekken 6, never thought I'd like Lee this much.
