BRAWL
This thread might end up flopping, but I figured I'd give it a try.
Basically, this is just a sideline brawl that will go on while the duel tournament is running. As far as in-game rules, they are the same as in the duel tournament. You can find the rules here.
You can download the map we use for the duels here.
Compliments to all people involved in the Duel Map's construction to make this brawl possible.

These matches will be a brawl, where everybody that participates will fight everybody else once. There will only be one match between each person, and the winner of each match receives a point. The player with the most points at the end is the winner. If there is a tie for 1st place, there will be death matches to break the tie(s) to determine the winner.
For simplicity sake, so you don't have to try to organize times to play with a whole handful of people all at once, it is strongly recommended that you follow the following pattern:
When everybody is signed up and we begin the brawl, set up a time to play with the person directly above you on the list. Once you get to the top of the list, go down to the bottom of the list and work your way up until you've played everybody. By the time you're halfway through the list, you've probably already played the remaining people. Once you've had a match, post the replay and state who won and who lost

Sounds fun why not  But why use the old version that is less balanced? On that note I was considering to make the tournament like that but 18+ people playing 3 matches versus everyone would be too time consuming not to mention the time zones.

Yea it might be an issue. I have it so each person only plays once, so it's less time consuming and hopefully it should be a lot easier for people to catch a good time. I'm going to give it a try to see how it goes.

I'm in but I would strongly recommend sticking with the current Tournament Map because v5.41 doesn't have arena mod implemented aswell as the Stormwind fix and I'm not keen on switching my maps and mods each time I have a game to play

Or we can use that map and not the mod. Or if everyone has the current duel map in their folder game versions will match anyway.

If you have the new map in the Maps folder you will have the Stormwind fix and new arenas in the entire game, including when playing the old maps.
But I'd like to play with the new one... well, whatever you people prefer.

Yea but if I have the Stormwind fix and my opponent doesn't then it'll be a problem = me have to switch maps over and over again

You both have to have the same maps in the Maps folder anyway, that's one way to make sure it will work as intended.
If you both have the new map and the old map which you play on, it will work and with Stormwind fix included.

I should warn you that lately I have experienced a few desyncs while having both the random and regular version in the folder. I thought I fixed it after I corrected a line in the script that Asheera pinpointed and indeed the next game was normal but afterwards I got another desync.

I played with Azagal with both in the folder and had no disconnects. You just have crappy net.

Well before voting for the current map I'd like to know the reason behind choosing the older map as the battleground.

Neither desync. I don't think I've had a desync since HoF.

@Elvin: That doesn't make much sense. Map Scripts do not interfere when playing other maps, so it wouldn't matter how the script from one map is when playing another. Maybe it was just a coincidence.
Also, if there's incompatibility with mods/maps, desyncs would happen all the time in a respective case. For example, with the old Arena Mod, if the enemy didn't have it, and the battle took place in a new arena, it would be a desync and tactics phase won't end (because you have a different arena displayed than your enemy). If you fought in a normal arena though, it wouldn't be any desync.

I like 5.41 more.
If people really want to play with the new map, I'll give in. Somebody else needs to take over as the referee though.

What do you mean with "take over as a referee"? Counting points? I mean there's not much a 3rd because can do in a duel of 2 is there? I'm missing something I believe...
still if you mean counting points and keeping track of who's played who I can help.
