PhoenixReborn and me finished our game
haven(me) vs. orcs(phoenix)
for some reason i didn't checked right who i'm fighting against and tought it's academy(castles are near on map),so i build hero vs them,
Phoenix had both shatters light and dark, and i only had light magic with sp1,lol
at the end i won
however i feel after sq told me that orcs can't win vs demon and having won with haven that they might be at not that good comparing to other factions(might be wrong since i have played only few games with or against them)

I felt I had average skills and average artifacts. Wasn't expecting much. Funny that he got mixed up about opponent, I've done that also.

aye blizzardboy slaughtered me i learned 3 things that battle...
1: Pheonixes are not immune to fire traps
2: when playing dungeon take destructive
3: Look at the ******* arena when placing your units

btw for future reference, don't think I'm ignoring you if you message me on MSN or Hamachi and I don't respond, because I'm really bad at going away for long periods of time without hitting the 'away' button, and I often times don't even realize when somebody sends me a hamachi. Iv'e had lots of that happening lately

Doesn't it show away automatically after 15-20 mins? On an unrelated note better that you start keeping records of the games, soon you'll be flooded

I had a brawl with Phoenix. My fortress vs his inferno. He had a pretty impressive destructive build, but it looks like fortress still dominates inferno with rune of battle rage clean-up. I realized about 1 second after summoning my phoenix that he had ice magic, but it looks like it didn't change much:

I lost to dwarves with a dark build and with a destructive. Sorcery may have helped but did you see the sheer quantity of troops they had left both matches?
And my fortress took down haven fairly easily so...

I use a 3rd party program that lets me be online with multiple chat programs with one program, so it's default settings must be set differently.

Respectfully, I truly deeply think going War Machines with these larger-sized armies just isn't worth it anymore. That ballista just wasn't doing a whole lot. But aside from that, I think inferno has difficulty with fortress because rune of battle rage let's them clean up those extra stacks really effectively.

You are taking the wrong approach. Both dark and destructive can prove useless against dwarven luck, too unreliable if you ask me. With some mass light and excruciating strike I tend to have pretty close games even won some. Of course a mass confusion could turn the tables..

Oh yeah Mass light! Because of the certainty of getting the right spells as inferno and getting a 2% skill. OK!

Yes I was thinking of trying a pure might approach with Inferno against dwarves (of course with Power of Speed and Endurance)
And won another game, Orcs (me) vs Academy (Bliz)
He didn't want to go to the end so is it ok if I'll post the not-finished replay, Bliz? just asking in case you don't want.
EDIT: Nevermind you were faster, uploading the replay now.

I have to say, those Maulers were extremely effective with all that rage. Seems Warmongers are not the only viable solution - for 'turtling' factions like Academy, Maulers all the way

It would have took awhile to kill me either way with consume artifact and high durability, but it would have been a loong 45 minutes of me poking away 1 or 2 units at a time before I died. I didn't have the spellpower I needed, or firetrap.
