look, when I gave Asheera a Qp for her image guide, I mentioned to those that complained that it was due in large part to her contributions around HC. Activity in many different forums, helpful attitude towards new members etc etc - If you think I'm giving this penalty because I do not like her, that's just not the case.
If I can give a QP for being positive around the boards, then I should certainly be justified in taking one for bringing negativity. there have been a lot of posts like this from her, directed at a lot of different members.
If nothing else, consider this -QP a negator to the one I gave her for being positive - it would help you sleep at night, I would happily remove this penalty and take the QP in the guide thread away as well - it would have the same effect though...

Somehow I thought QP bragging is not exactly a positive attitude. It's ok for noobs to feel that way, but seriously, after 1 year, I thought people started caring more about the community than "ooh look at my shinies".
Ok I made that sound a bit funny, but you get the idea

You would indeed be justified in doing so IF her negativity was significant - which it isn't. I haven't seen her be really negative for a long time, and even then it wasn't that bad, and quite understandable.

I initially typed this in HCM, but I don't think limiting this discussion to two people is really conducive to finding the best solution in this situation.
Is preemptive penalizing really the way we want to start going here? I definitely agree that we should nip incidents like Stiven's in the bud, but this is almost like digging up the seed before it has a chance to grow into something, good or bad. I don't know whether it was an underhanded remark or not, but, honestly, shouldn't we be giving members the benefit of the doubt?
I don't think she meant anything by it, Lexxan's said he took no offense to it. I'll leave it up to you, of course, but I think we could probably reverse the penalty so long as we let everyone know this won't be a common thing at all.

I agree with the -QP.
She made it like Lexxan was a weasel for caring about QP's. Making her look better with her I dont care about it because it's not important.
I agree, QP or losing them is not the end of the world.
Thats not the point. It's fun to try to earn them. Sucks when you lose them but it makes it interesting.
Nothing is worst then hearing you make it like your so much better then us.
You Asheera is the reason why people make this forum like some Mathematical Schooling site then just having fun. What are you trying to prove?

GOT TO LOVE TO QP FIGHTS .

Woah. A penalty for that?! I didn't think it will sound so negative to some, this is really a shock.
So I get a penalty for that little thing (which I don't even find offensive at all btw), while other members who did much worse things and spammed with really useless posts and such get no penalties (I won't give names). And also for all the help I did to a lot of members in this forum (and I'm not talking about my QP threads), I get no appreciation. You know... why do I even bother anyway?
I don't care about my QP count. But this penalty given for such a small thing while my other help wasn't appreciated at all just gives a very bad taste to me. It's the thought of giving it that matters, and a penalty is a disgrace.
And I don't really know why you also quoted "And grats for a full year on HC. Does it feel special?", and I don't know if you understood what I was trying to say. I wasn't being sarcastic, trying to mock or anything like that with that last phrase. Just read it as it is, without irony or anything, that's what I wanted to say. Nothing else.

I used to help out alot in HC back in my time. I got -QP's as well.
Some of the greatest members lost QP's
Shoot I lost a QP for no reason, because Romana wanted to keep the peace. even though she knew Stiven was wrong.
