he could petition val to get it reenabled. why he hasn't yet, and continues to defy the CoC, is anyone's guess. *stern look*

I asked him why he doesnt use the old one, simce he's practically back, at least till the end of summer. He said he set a random password for the account which is irreversible. Guess, he was in a real "screw this, I'm done" mood.

I am not that childish to defy to CoC. Any forum needs a CoC and HC's one is just perfect, even if Val is a bit naive in how it formulates some points. We are adults, but maturity doesn't necessarily mean Mvass android behavior, it comes also with excessive things; they keep us alive, makes us boil, get passionate, get real.

I was just sad that with Cepheus's departure WoG forums got no moderator active (Angelito is very rare), and by that I mean one who is backing and structuring the few guys making the thing alive. Not one who is upsetting them and deletes right/left without further consideration, keeps rather offensive signature and superior attitude.

I know everyone tries to do for his best and this is why an open debate is useless.

I think artu would have make a good WoG moderator. He is very picky about order, creative, intelligent and curious. He is also Turkish, but no one is perfect.*

And I am very well under the 20 posts limit, they recall me the true priorities.

And thanks, Angelito. That review deserved a quality point, and the fact that no one bothers asking anymore shows at what point this forum is done breathing.

*j/k

sal, you do know the CoC thing was a joke, right?

as for anyone becoming a moderator of a forum, i would have to say that first and foremost, they should be unbiased, and impartial. those are very important traits when suggesting anyone for a position of authority over others.

Really subtle, Sal. Thanks.

For the record, I tried many times to refurbish this place and received almost no help. The record of that is here for you to see if you don't believe me.

i would, but i don't know diddley squat about them. why not have the creators/project leaders write the intro's? i'm sure they wouldn't be too busy to self-promote.

i'm quoting myself, because it seems to me that it would make more sense for the creators of the mods/addons to write the descriptions for their own projects, than any fan.

you could request from them to send you summarized information regarding their projects, along with updated links to download their work. just a suggestion.

Thank you for the confidence and kind words, Sal. I'm quite positive that Corribus also holds  the traits you enlisted, (maybe even a little more than desired when it comes to being picky about order ). I guess,  the  responsibility of making judgement calls as a moderator,  the nature of the beast, sometimes puts him in unwanted and tiresome positions. It's really bitter to see the two of you, both quality posters I  admire, besides everything else, turning sour on each other like this.

Go back to buddy mode now or you'll be getting penalties.

P.S. Since you're originally from a post-Ottoman state, I'll let the Turkish joke slide. After all, it comes with the territory

Don't let a possible language barrier to think that I am in "moderators hater" mood. I have nothing against any moderator in particular, and what really happened is now deleted. I am aware of how hard is to moderate (why would a sane person accept this, is incomprehensible to me, it eats all vital energy) but I am also thinking that once you accept, you have to do it.

If you constantly delay important tasks, have the guts and say you can't, nobody will be going to accuse you.

Corribus, you find the time to clean OSM from junk threads. This is because you are dedicated to that forum.

A dedicated wog moderator would find the time to move the corrected links I posted 3times, to the main post. Right now, 5 months with half links dead. And 3 months since I reposted them in random places.

Fred, a neutral human being does not exist. This would be the first answer to give you. But the realist one would be that with you, there can't be unbiased person. You simply go too personal about anything. So just hope that people around are enough mature to not go into petty Internet vengeances. And could appreciate also what makes you also an appealing person, not only the homo f***ingus you are so often.

not sure i follow. why can't there be an unbiased person with me? and, homo f***ingus, i take it, means something bad?

not to go off-topic, but since you came back, i've been trying to patch things up with you. i don't see why we can't get along, in spite of any language barrier.

Ok, I propose the moderator deletes all off things once everybody understood what's about.

homo f***ingus was an attempt to comically describe your posting style. Not that you're bad, just the possible nausea everyone with an education feels when trying to follow your posts half censored with swears and such.

Thing is: for US people, this talk obviously does not embarrass anyone; I recall when following Dexter series, I had to skip Dexter's sister dialogs, they horrified my ears, yet the show was one of the most successful in US.

I can't follow when someone talks vagina every 2 words.

Is just my subjective stance on, nothing to really get offended by. And when you get outstanding at something (ie your graphics), I will not miss opportunity to congratulate you.

@Edit: sorry was editing and wrong clicked, deleted post. here it is again.

that's quite a subjective stance you have there, sal. there is definitely a language barrier problem, because from where i stand, this: "Not that you're bad, just the possible nausea everyone with an education feels when trying to follow your posts half censored with swears and such" is an insult.

but whatever. this isn't the thread for it, and more over, following this vein of discussion will only lead to a heated argument. so i'm bugging out.

sorry to any mods for any unnecessary clutter i made here.

(i made it a little clearer for you sal, should you want to improve your demeanor)

I have always made it clear to everyone here that I do not stay up to date on all the H3 mod happenings. In fact, I stay up to date on few of them. I agreed to pick up the slack in this forum because it was essentially unmoderated and there was an urgent need to it, because many members could not get along. That's the first duty of a moderator. Second, and arguably equally important, is to keep the forum in organized shape. Unfortunately I am simply not capable of doing this on my own because I lack the required knowledge of H3 mods (and, frankly, interest in most of them). I am no replacement for Cepheus, and that I perfectly understand. I have asked for help because I have an interest in supporting you all, but I've received not enough to make a difference. How can I be expected to have an interest when the forum members don't even have it?

That said, I am more than happy to attend to specific tasks and will do so as soon as possible once notified that they need done:

If you need links fixed, HCM me.
If you need posts edited, HCM me.
If you need threads moved, closed, deleted, HCM me.
If you are having problems with another member, HCM me.

HCM is better anyway, because it brings it to my attention immediately. I may miss something that's posted here. I check HCMs every day, so if you find something isn't done here that needs to be done, I am not the only one to blame, if I am not made aware of it.

In general, I like to encourage self-governance anyway. A healthy forum needs very little moderation, especially if it's on a topic that should not inherently involve a lot of fighting.

Can one of the moderator update the first page of my Glory of War thread? It needs to be replaced with the post that is found in page 8 (post no 17) just as it is.

Thanks in advance!

Sure, why not, but either way I need the first post renewed, so either way I await for one of the moderators to respond

*Edit*
Still nothing huh?  Is there no moderator out there? Or is there still problems with my thread? Can it be categorized as a project so that I can edit it myself and be done with it?
