Thanks :)

As a newcomer to these forums, I'd just like to express my sincere thanks to everyone who helped to create WoG. The amount of work that must have gone into this mod is tremendous. So, thanks for making an already good game even greater.

(I hope thank-you's don't count as spam here )

+QP applied to Salamandre in this thread for continuously helping others with their ERM problems/wishes.

What would WoG be on HC without you?

Many people have the talent for keeping WoG alive in HC if they weren't so shy:

Darkloke actually can teach us how to get high detailed creatures into the game using 3dsMax (damn't I can't get that keygen generator working, sshhh)
FCST1 can tach us how to import objects from other games into the editor using Photoshop
Corribus can create great stories which will greatly stimulate our scripting ideas.
Vlaad can, besides other things, help you to delete millions of stupid threads, so we can navigate better and find what we need faster.
Bad can help in ERM help discussions, when "he has more time"
Angelito can play latest WoG maps

Almost all tools for WoG editing are Grayface works. I know that having good looking pics helps more for getting a QP but without those "in shadow" programmers, nothing would be possible, neither maps or mods.

I suggest a long waited QP for Grayface in this thread.

He helps me a lot in russians forums with tools and advices, and while of course those are external forums, the result is always beneficial here.

+QP applied to Siegfried in this thread for his overall effort he puts into his script working.

Nice to see someone besides Salamandre nowadays who wants to use ERM to fresh up the game a bit.

Is there a way to install the mod without changing your system language. I have vista home basic, and don't seem to be able to do it.

No, but changing language should be doable on all systems.

I've googled it, and the consensus seems to be that language packs are a feature of the premium version and that you can't change it on home basic. In any case, I can't figure out how to do it.

We do not ask for language translation, but system encoding.

With Linux, i adapt the language by entering the command:

export LC_ALL=en

There is a similar command in the windows console, that would be:

set LC_ALL=en

And then start the install from the command line. Not sure if that works, i don't have windows, but maybe that helps. If not, try (on the console) the simple command:

set

The result gives you all environment variables set. Search there for your language options and then change that variable to en. On Linux, i have LC_ALL, LANG and LANGUAGE. But only LC_ALL is needed for install

Thanks for QP

It constantly freezes for me too.. Im running Windows XP SP3.. It used to be able to run without any problems when i was in SP2 and v3.57..

Tried running program in compatibility mode with winds 98 too, but still freezes..

Seems like 3.58f or XP 3 is kind of incompatible with WOG..

Hopefully 3.59 will solve this problem..

In the long run only VCMI will solve these problems, because then we get the source.

The grove town deserves a well earned reward. Yes, the russians have better scripts, better creatures, better anything than us. Where are they?

Grove is here!

Handed out a shiny star to Hobbit, Mitabrin and Trith in the New Grove Town thread.

Those were the only members of that project who posted in that thread. Maybe you could ask the other members of your project to post a "hello" post there too, so I can hand out a red star for them aswell?
