I'm more a Libertarian than anything else (though I would accept a large role for the Government if it were stronger).

Christian democrat sometimes means centrist, but not in this case. In this case, it means social conservatism (opposition to abortion, same-sex marriage, etc) with social democratic economic ideas (universal health care, strong unions, minimum wage, etc [but not as extreme as socialists]).
And Christian Democracy has nothing to do with Christianity. One can be a Jewish or a Muslim or an atheist Christian Democrat.

I didn't know the environment you're living in is perfect? I don't see any other reason to be conservative in a dynamic world that is above all, not yet perfect. In fact it's pretty downright dumb and would keep you from actually venturing -towards- a more perfect world and I don't see how you can be proud of that stance...
