Idea on how to make factions unique

It’s probably not a good idea but I had this idea that can make 15 factions easy, all you do is choose a time period and an area and you will have the monsters, their philosophy/religion,  human jobs( for the main race,) the buildings, and the heroes. So I put down the faction names, the ancient empire and the time period using this method.
Haven: Great Britain 700 A.D.
Inferno: About the same as usual
Academy: India 2000 B.C.
Necropolis: About the same as usual
Stronghold: The Middle East 5000 B.C.
Fortress: The Vikings 600A.D.
Sylvan: The Native Americans 500 A.D.
Dungeon: About the same as usual
Palace: China/Japan 1000 B.C.
Tower: Medieval Europe 1400 A.D.
Shrine: Egypt 4000 B.C.
Tecpan: Mesoamerica 1350 A.D.
Conflux: Mid-Southern Africa 3000 B.C.
Castle: Classical Rome 100 A.D.
Colonies: (unoriginal I know but still it’s a good idea) Spain 200 B.C.
Then you just adjust the main race to elves, dwarves, orcs etc. I am sorry is someone already said this idea
Please respond!

Nah, you can map architectural styles from human coultures, but cultures have to be unique, you can't just take them from history and swap the races around.

I'm not in favour that the factions should be direct copies of Past architectural styles. It rather should be a mx of different styles, which is recognisable to the public, yet something that cannot be clearly placed. The current styles of the H5 Factions are an example of this.

Sylvan: Celtic, Chinese and Native (= northern) American
Haven: Mixture of European style; especially French, Italian and Teuton
Inferno: Gothic style with Greek/Roman elements
Necro: A completely independant style, close to Egyptian and Persian
Academy: Mix of Persian, Arabic, Indian and Byzantine style
Fortress: Scandinavian, Scottish and German style
Stronghold: Mongolian with hints of Russian and (tribal) African styles
Dungeon: Like Necro, a completely new and independant style; Has hints of Arabic (Matriarch and Fury clothing), Gothic (!) and Modern-European styles (Furies on High heels, hmm?)

The creators said that dungeon was inspired by the Italians (early renaissance and stuff) (just look at all those naked women and the decadence!) (not that there's anything wrong with naked women in the style of the old Italians)
And Necro is clearly gothic, if you take your time and look like at the ugly statues, the oldness of it all and the overarching cathedrals.
