If the Megastone does not transfer, what was the point of the demo? But in another month 'n a half we'll know what does and does not transferr.

So, I've been having second thoughts about my team.
My projected team was Swampert, Glalie, Magneton, Medicham, Tropius, Absol.
Swampert and Glalie are in no matter what.
But Magneton and Medicham rely on someone to trade with. I have 2 eggs for them ready on my Y, but I need someone to trade them to who will trade it back to me. But even if that isn't the case, I'm gonna catch wild ones.
Which leaves me with Tropius and Absol. I realy like Tropius and it realy need both a grass and a flying mon in my team. Or at least a flying mon. But you can only catch one very late in the game, so I kinda need a substitute untill then. Which I guess is gonna be Zubat/Golbat, but I'm not sure.
I'm even less sure about Absol. Yes Dark mons are usefull against psychics and ghosts, but how many of those are you gonna encounter, how many of those can I not overpower with my other mons. But what do I replace it with if I don't take it?

I'm almost certain that they will enhance random encounters in the remake with new Pokemon (newest generation included, plus mega-evolving ones). As such I think you will find a substitute for Absol. While I never use Absol, his mega evolution is certainly gorgeous. Oh and there's this new PokeNav app which helps you catch the Pokemon you want. For me it's always fun to create a team on the go, so I'll probably stick to this way of creating my team.
On a side note I wonder how the post game will look like in Omega/Alpha. Aside from the search for Megastones and Legendaries I didn't enjoy it that much in X/Y. I really hope we will get some interesting Battle Towers or sth... ( I don't remember what we had in the original).

Oh, that? True it was sth, hmm, different...
Though lately I started to play X a bit, and I remembered there is this thing like restaurants in the main city. For a measly 100000 Pokedollars you can fight lvl. 66 Pokemons for exp. and cash in the form of mushrooms (ahh what those kids are willing to stuff themselves with just to get high these days :/). I can play around with them a bit 
Oh and I finally tried the three-bear-combo (Ursaring, Pangoro and Beartic)

The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking of replacing that Absol with a Sharpedo. It should be easier to get a hold of, Learns good moves and learns them relatively early, still dark, and now I don't need to learn my Swampert Surf and give him Waterfall instead.

Hmm, good idea. I've always wanted one in my team, though I did choose other Pokes over him. Now with his Megaevolution (though I kinda dislike it) there's no greater reason to get one.
I'll still need to trade him from AS though...

Why? Carvahna and Sharpedo have never been version exclusives. I know Aqua-peoples use them all the time, but the were always catchable in both versions.
Also, I kinda like the new Megavolution of Sharpedo, instead of a torpedo, it now kinda looks like a Cruise Missile.

Damn I really should work on my memory...
I thought that with the exclusivity of Team Magma/Aqua (though they seem to appear in both versions) those Pokes are also exclusives.
I'm a bit disappointed with his look (he looks even more like a mini-shark now or a molas fish) I must say I dig those Mega-torpedo's scars. He looks like he was hit with a motorboat engine propeller. Those Game Freak guys can really be hardcore (also look: Cubone's description )

Cus each gen needs a couple of new "spam" Pokemon (all those rodents, birds, fish etc) for level-grinding

If your from US, here are some additional ways to get the code.
As a fun fact I can say that I registered on US Pokemon club cus I thought the promotion gives codes regardless of your location (I only found out later that it applies to US only). But as it turns out, though I did get my hands on the code in a, hmmm, special way, I didn't get one with the newsletter. Shame on you Game Freak/Nintendo for making kiddies cry with your false promises
