Dawn of War (OOC)
((Ok..before some people panic..let me explain. This requires Zero Knowledge of the original Twilight of Peace, Dawn of War that became the War of 5/8. The characters from those are not to be used. The events of the War of 5/8 never happened here.))
Once the land was protected by a entity only know as the Highlord. Each year a tournament would be held, and the victor would recieve praise and power. Something happened (it is unsure what) and the Highlord dissapeared, along with several of the contestants. Unfortunately without the protection of the Highlord, things started to become dangerous. Creatures long forgotten started to return, and old hatreds started to resurface. The once safe and cozy areas started to turn dangerous.
As dawn spread accross the land a select few people found a bundle on their nightstands. Within were a map, a rare magical item (to be announced), some gold, and instructions how to claim absolutely free horses and traveling supplies.
This is a bit different then most RPGS. There is no levels, nor stats, or anything. Almost all classes and races are open (though I reserve the right to veto).. Though there will be a set goal..think of it more like a very open 'finaly fantasy' game. You don't even have to get near the main quest if you don't wish. For those who want 'open' fantasy, there will be that. For those who wish 'some game master involvement, but some open' there will be that also. Of course there will be the main quest also. Time does not stand still however..so if you are off on a side quest, don't expect the main quest to wait for you.

I guess I'll give it a try. Not sure how frequently I will be able to post, but I'll try.
The problem is, there's waaay to much freedom in how I make my character and I don't have any ideas for now. Maybe if a couple more people join and make their characters, I'll see the general direction and adjust accordingly.

Character can charge and break any defensive line.
Warrior Scholar
Your character is no brute he knows more than some noblemen...
Bad Reputation
Wherever your character meets NPCs they will either fear you or hunt you down
Large weapon
Imagine trying to block a blow from this baby? If you try and block this you will be pushed back(depending on how strong you are )
question- am i evil by default?

You would not be evil by default. There are no true evil races. Now the 'government' of some races are a bit evil (like the Drow), but the individuals can be of any alignment.
And while you have the strength to weild just about anything, remember the awkwardness of a weapon (if any) would hurt your chances to weild it effectively. A large club would be fine, or a two handed sword..but something like a giant two handed sword would actually be more detriment then help.

Alright, I think I have it now...
Name: Profeus Stufblower aka "The Prophet"
Race: Gnome
Class: Cleric
Deity: The One True God
Background:
Profeus was always a proud gnome and as such loved to do 2 things: temper with complex mechanisms and blow stuff up. At a pretty young age though, he realized that blowing stuff up is much more interesting and exciting, so he began experimenting in that area more than other gnomes. As a result, his explosions became bigger and bigger and eventually the other gnomes got tired of all the ruckus (and Profeus' high, squeaky voice) and expelled him from their village.
That of course did not stop the determined chemist, in fact he was quite happy - less neighbours meant less complaining about the noise at night. So, for decades Profeus Stufblower kept blowing things up and the explosions became bigger and more colorful with each passing year. Until one day, he bad the explosion so big it made him pass out and the vapors from his chemicals caused him to hallucinate. He dreamt of creating the biggest explosion ever and out of the fire a voice spoke to him and said that he is The One True God and that he chose Profeus to be his messenger on earth, to spread his word and make sure everyone lived by it one way or another.
When the dream was over, Profeus woke up inspired by what he saw. He quickly learned the ways of the cleric to everyone's surprise, but what was even more surprising is that this new deity seemed to actually answer Profeus' calls and lend him strength. And even though some said that these are merely illusions created by a skilled chemist, word about the new Prophet spread quite fast. Thar being said, he is yet to make a convert.

description- Ragged, has no armor (only clothing are brown pants, and a red belt(a very slim belt)) but makes up for it with his incredible resistance
Background- ____ has been grappling with the forces of nature for several years. The forest was compelled to see his death proceed by their branches. To _____ it seems like the work of Elves, who have yet to show themselves to him and tell him why he has been hunted. It is most likely the bad reputation of his race. Recently enslaved by the humans his race had been distributed thought the kingdom.(i dont know much about history here so il invent some if thats ok)

Ok a description of some of the world will have to do, since I am horrible at drawing anything. The rest can be made by the players, but try to keep it logical. I can't even draw stick figures  . So here goes.
One Huge Central Continent (Though technically an island since there is water on all sides). To imagine it picture Australia stacked on top of China (roughly). It is rather..large. About a quarter of the north is covered in Ice, and it is seperated from the rest by the Frostmourn. A line of huge mountains that make the Alps look puny. The Frostmourn is jagged except in the very center. Where what is left of a Ice Castle stands with a wall carved in the Ice that stretches for MILES (not as big as the great wall, but pretty impressive.
In the center of the North section (explained further later) is 'The Arena'. It is the biggest city KNOWN on the planet. All kinds are allowed there (regardless of race, background, history, etc). Of course that was when the Highlord was alive..it may only be a matter of time before the great city falls.
Only a couple of places that must exsist. The mountains that seperate the north and south (much smaller then the Frostmourn, but longer). The single 'easy' access pass that the mountains have. Scarsdale (just north of the scar), and The Scar. Home to the actual biggest city, but since it is invisible, has deadly traps, and all kinds of big monsters lurk there...not many people who find out about it LIVE to tell about it. Everything else I will leave to the players creativity. Though you may find a few places on your journey that I have 'hidden' away
Edit : For those of you new to my games, a word of warning. For the quests I do put into the games almost nothing is as it seems. Of course stating that..I might be using a red herring. Enjoy.

Level is not as important here. For purposes of spell casting (not stats, hp, etc) you would be level 18. We are not going to use stats, hp..keeping it kinda simple.
The exact scenerio for you, would be that you come out of the 'portal' with no memory of what happened in 5/8. Though you remember the people who you met in that..you don't know HOW you met them.
