The unlucky streak continues.
Lost to Kispagat 2 - 0.
First was Dungeon (Kythra) for me versus Inferno (Alastor) for Kispagat.
I had to mentor a lot to get Sorcery and only got basics, I went to empathy but dind't work that much ; no much troops.
Second was Dwarves (Ebba) for me versus Orcs (Gorshak).
Kispagat had swiftness + strider boots ; 40 lvl 4 down at first acting ; that pissed me off -> forfeit.
Anyway, Kispagat seems to adapt well in arena, or to be really lucky, depends of the perspective...

I have no doubt that Kisp is one of the BEST players for sure...
But I have been telling you all along that the way arena is setup.. it has ALOT more to do with Luck.

Ye, score was 2-0.
When I realized that I face an empathy dungeon I tought its over, but somehow I managed to clear the stacks really fast.
There is nothing else to say about the second one.
Certainly lucky so far.

Its certainly a lot of luck involved(like 5 times morale in a row for champions in our match with Kis ) but its not all luck. Good players benifit much greater from being lucky and win helpless at first glance situations.

For sure there is luck involved Jinxer ; that is the one of the essences of the game actually. But nowadays, I really feel that lady fortune despises me a lot. I don't rely on luck ; but I was really pissed off for I wasn't offered the opportunity to exploit the good cards I had in the first game... I mean Sorcery on basics, even by going for mentor lots of times : that made me think that I couldn't even ask for something rather simple. I'd might have won if I could cast one more spell ; it sounded really frustrating ; but I also could spend my money in more units, so my loss is partially deserved.
I don't complain about luck generally, but sometimes this factor reaches (or digs) to a degree that you cannot understand, and that you feel somehow crushed by...

That is why arena is not an elimination tournament, all those matches add up. You just feel bad if you have a pathetic match against a good opponent but to be frank come on, how many times will that happen? One out of 15 games? Less?

Anyway, the first matchup was dommed for me. I had inerno and went the destructive way, which is generally a bad choice, I couldn't get cold death, so my most powerful was implosion. I wasn't used to the limited levels, so I didn't know I was going to be that bad. My lack of might abilitiesand skill spelled my doom.
This one was close, I mean really close. My academy picked up destructive, cold death and sorcery against forress. Along with mark of teh wizard, we played an extended game. I don't know if I would've won, had I not misclicked at the lost moment, but the match would've been way closer.

The truth is actually that orcs are very strong, that's why they have only six Cyclops... Very strong towns have fewer troops, for the most obvious reason : balance
Orc vs. Sylvan is mostly won by the barbarians... so I don't understand these complainings about Sylvan too strong, and orcs too weak... Perfect balance is not easy to attain, but right now things are pretty okei, and much better than in many full maps for sure

Never said sylvan is too strong. Just saying that orcs are too weak. I dont want to argue. It would be best if more pple say their opinion. We can always do match orcs vs the rest and check out the result I think is should be pretty bad for the orcs.

First was really a perfect example what happens if orcs take a risk of skipping shatter dark. When I saw Faiz, I knew that if he has mass slow I am dead. He had.
My biggest mistake was to start second battle. It was quite late, and I was not able to concentrate on the battle. I do not say, I could turn the result, but I had the feeling all along that some way I should win.
Zilo built a fortress with zombies (300!), fire elemental, bird, ghosts and skeleton archers, and I was not able to break in. Nice and slow "undead" phoenix feeded my army supplying his hero with unlimited mana.

Played games vs. Natalka, both games I got lucky to get the same hero - Yilthin.
Towerlord (Sylvan - Yilthin) wins Natalka (Orcs - Gorshak)
Towerlord (Sylvan - Yilthin) wins Natalka (Dwarfs - Karli)
Final result: 2-0.
First game seemed to be really unlucky for me, as I went for Destructive, but got low knowledge and spell power. The good side was that, I had very good defense instead . Natalka shattered my already weak destructive, so everything looked gloomy. Her tactics saved me(and no Storm Wind), as I could deliver a nice first strike.
Second game, was a battle between Light and Light, decided by a favoured lucky Arcanes shot.
On a sidenote, giving up against Strider is irational imo, as you are gifting the first place without a fight. Also you are altering my chances for 1st place, which is not nice either.
As an encouragement, I would like to point out the very nice games, by Strider and Theory, especially the second... didnt think Academy could actually make it. Perhaps blackies were more appropriate, but I guess Strider makes mistakes also

Towerlord , if i knew that Strider_HL will participate i wouldn`t participate. Sorry to screw you up but that`s life. I have personal reason not to play against Strider_HL.
