Random Mod Ideas
Meh, I wont ever create a mod but if you need inspiration for the next big mod project I have some suggestions:
Fortress Make-over
New line-up and maybe even new creatures.
1. Arctic Wolf
2. Shieldguard
3. Berserker or CHALLENGE Yeti
4. Bear Rider
5. Rune Priest
6. Roc/Thane (rename to Giant and make skin look rougher)
7. Fire Dragon renamed to Fire Wyrm ("Wyrms were long thought to be exterminated from the surface of Ashan, now these children of Arkath has appeared under the mountains of Grimheim").
New Faction: Lair
Lair is like the Heroes 3 dungeon faction.
1. Trogdolyte (Imp, ToK)
2. Harpy (blood fury with wings, doesnt need to fly)
3. ???
4. Beholder (floating eye)
5. Medusa (fire elemental + shadow witch)
6. Manticore
7. Lizard/Raptor
Finishing Conflux
The mod seems to be dead... -.-
1. Wisp (there is some glowing ball in editor)
2. Air Elemental
3. Water Elemental
4. Fire Elemental
5. Earth Elemental
6. Psyhic Elemental (ghost)
7. Firebird-Phoenix/Thunderbird (or maybe Frostbird because its orginal? Or change Psychic to tier 7 and add Djinn to tier 6 if Fortress 2.0 comes)

seems all of that are good ideas.
However I prefer that people finds the matter to add new factions at the game rather than replacing old ones.

Look in the editor and the game executables, and try to replace each possible "9" by "A" (to deblock another new faction, like for NCF)...

yes I know that. 
but actually, I don't have the time for it.
I'm talking about that by supposing that someone could be interested to do it.
as you know, others guys are working on their own faction. Kronos is able too to hack executables.

Surely it's not the only thing to do. Types.xml is an important file for it as well

This was meant as a source of inspiration since Oblivion etc seems to be completed soon.
I dont know if ToK is dead or not. The Conflux mod seems dead atleast.
