Just for fun,Is AA really better than MH?

look at these pictures below.I use the map editor to create a custom duel character(the ranger).

and look at them carefully:62 MHs hit the master gremlins with 20000+ dam in a single shot(not double shots)!!

then:62 MHs hit storm titans with 6000 dam.

then:hit gremling with 18258 dam.

can anyone guess how to make it?

btw:all the hero states and the power of creatuers are strictly based on the offical duel rules.that is to say the hero is up to 15 level and only get 14 state points and skill points.

Let's go

Necklace of the Bloody Claw + Archery + Battle Frenzy + Elven Luck + Ossir.

Or maybe just Microsoft Paint.

Might aswell add: Expert War Machines with cart, Retribution(Nature's Wrath), Divine Strenght, Righteous Might and 0 def on targets.
Fiery Wrath is added afterwards so you would see it, correct?

In some of the screens it's favoured enemy aswell which is quite a lot more damage but it still doesn't explain the insane numbers

Is the game modded in any way?
However, under the command of Anwen and with Elven Luck, a base damage of 4k is enough tp reach those numbers.

The hero could be anwen too. Grems are selected Favored Enemy, so in that case th damage would be +30%.

edit. heh, late by a few seconds ;p.

You could also add some vulnerability castings

Let's do some Maths.

62 MH-->310-496 (let's assume 403 dmg)
Battle Frezny: 465 dmg
Necklace of the Bloody Claw: 527 dmg
Nature Wrath: 558
.
.
.
.

    ...Cheat!!!

0 def on targets.

Too late

Edit: I'll think I will try to reach the same numbers using the same strategy. Still sort of puzzled since I can only remember some 6k+ damage AA in Elvins map and thats with more artifacts and levels.

Edit2: Gah, made a hero but it doesnt show up after you have saved him even using custom presets? Any pointers?

a hint, the AA will only do better if in your case.however, the AA will do no more than 4k damage in the pictures.

edit:guys, I swear there are not any cheats involved

edit:@Equila, the custom duel presets are divieded into groups by the heroes' total power, so maybe you need choose a value which match your heroes' power.

I find it hard to believe you can raise dmg 20 times with artefacts/spells.

I reached about 550 dmg and got bored.

i think its definitely possible to attain or even go beyond the damage levels seen:

ingredients:

ossir + elven luck(need to mentor out something) lucky strike

battle frenzy + necklace bloody claw

week of might

expert attack, archery

favored enemy

quad imbued ballista + expert dark vulnerability, ammo cart for + 4 att

ranger set for no range penalty, +4 att quiver

div str/right might

visit shrine for extra bonus

retribution

etc.

Some issues with this:
Week of might and shrinebonuses cant be used
Imbued ballista is redundant
No mentor
Level 15 duel char so there's a quite low limit on skills
Limited amount of artifacts
Retribution most likely a bad choice since its another 5 skills

Expert Attack + Battle Frenzy/Nature's Wrath/Archery - 6
Expert Luck + Soldier's Luck/Resourcefulness/Elven Luck - 12
Expert Warmachines - 15 (1 short)

Ossir cant get Elven luck without mentor so he's out of the question but I guess Enlightenment + other skills(Light perhaps) would add more damage then full luck. You could replace it all with 1 luck from an artifact and just redo the test until you get a lucky strike.

Any chance you could post how you did this? Curious

oh yeah also forgot:

deep freeze and master of fire

edit: with high druids deep freeze becomes quite deadly

and with rain of arrows/archer's dream set/imbue arrow, it is possible to get both effects active at the same time on favored enemies

@equila: i'm not familiar with the map editor/duel rules but this is how you would do it in a standard map

with respect to "retribution" we are talking about damage here, not skills required; can you think of many other skills that so significantly enhance damage?

ballista with vulnerability is obviously for titans, what did you think it was for, gremlins?

I meant that since it requires so many skillpoints the overall damage from Archery or Nature's Wrath and Enlightment would be more. Same amount of skillpoints for a larger benefit. Or isnt Retribution capped at 25%?

No, I meant that you could be setting this up for large numbers so you wont need the ballista. Preparing the targets with 0 def from Vulnerability then shooting with archer, if this was not the case then the ballista might prove usefull. Same thing I was referring to with 1 luck and then shooting/reloading until you get the perfect lucky shot.

In any case, you can see that the damage is a lot lower on the titans so I guess he wasn't using vulnerabilty, my point is the same thou

Nah,useless for solving this problem.

I think it's Ossir + Elven Luck + Battle Frenzy.I think there is also the Favorite Enemy and Archery. This ones + blessing spells (Righteous Might and probably Divine Strenght).Of course Expert Attack, and I think some pretty useless Initiative boost

Well, actually there is no need any light magic buff..

the answer is that the hero is not Anwen nor Ossir ,it's Talanar, who give the ENRAGED ability to the tier 1~3 creature, however it only works on master hunter but not arcane archer...so,the AA is kicked out

there is another groups of 6 dragon in the duel preset, according to the AOH manual the enraged wont be triggered by resurrected or sommoned
units, but it will be triggered by raised units.so you can get the dragon killed and cast raise death on them and get them killed again...repeat this until the attack of the master hunter reach to 200+,so them can easy make insane damage in a single shot.

btw,the bodys of the dragon are covered by the golems

Ok, that wasn't all that easy to guess. Nice find. Sneaky one to say the least
