Guide to how to run HOMM3 without cd
On this topic i will show you how to run Heroes 3 without a cd!
What i am doing here is 100 legal.
1. Download a crack file here which you will need to launch the game without cd: censored
(You will only need the Heroes3.exe file in the .rar file)
2. copy and paste the crack file (heroes3.exe) into your Heroes directory.
3. Now you will be able to launch the game but you will hear a lot of errors if you try to play the game
4. You will need the video and sound files from your heroes 3 disc. Insert your Heroes 3 disc and find a file called Heroes3.snd and Heroes3.vid
5. Before you copy and paste those two files you need to make a folder in your heroes 3 directory called Heroes3. It is very important that you call it Heroes3 and not make any wrong letters.
6. Now copy and paste the two files into your new Heroes3 folder in your heroes directory.
7. Go to START - RUN - REGEDIT and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/NEW WOLRD COMPUTING/HEROES OF MIGHT AND MAGIC III/1.0 look for the file called CDDRIVE and make sure it says C:
8. Now simply try to launch the game and the game will think that your cd drive is in your heroes3 folder with the two files.
This project is tested and works

well wog is running without cd so i think that you have posted this info in wrong sub-forum

Ohh sry... Well, im still trying to find out how to get the videos back from every campaign start. It dissapears when you install WoG. Any ideas? For example if you try to start the campaign "Long live the queen" then the video and sound is gone, only music is playing the background and some text..

Don't you think this is some kind of contradiction?
Maybe it is better to read the FAQ/Rules of a forum before posting such things. Here is a quote from the Code of Conduct of this board:
