Bumblebee is a freakin' awesome movie.

First 15 minutes was enough to beat Bayformers by light years. To make you forget about those abominations. It's a shame we didn't get a whole Battle for Cybertron movie, but what we did get was totally off the charts. I think if I was a big fan of Transformers I would be blown away by nostalgia.

Let's make things clear, I did enjoy the human part (most of the movie ), cus the story was full of heart. The female protagonist was simply a likable character. She was the star of the show. A normal and resourceful girl. And Bumblebee was the second star ofc. It was great watching his "friendly giant" side, and his badass side when he got serious (he's actually Transformers Elite). There are quite a few action sequences in the movie and they are really good. Not to mention you actually know what's going on. It was also cool they placed the movie in the 80's. It worked on so many levels, especially with the music.

This movie captures what Transformers is about, even those few Decepticons in the movie were fleshed-out characters. Finally! No irritating side-characters, no friggin' America is great propaganda, no explosions everywhere, no incomprehensive (and simply idiotic) dialouges and low-level jokes. And most importantly Transformers have "souls", they are not a bunch of duches that murder each other like crazy.

Damn, if they make more Transformers movies (ending was kept pretty open) they should keep Knight at the helm. This guy really gets it.

That's one hell of a sell, for me. I walked out of the first Transformers movie(the only one i saw in a theater) after it's 3rd major flaw that ruined it; it sounds like this new one is right up my alley.

Hope you'll like it. Well the rule is to go see it yourself. But even if my opinion isn't enough, there's plenty of positive response in the net for this movie.

(Psst, you can even find a off-hand camera clips of the Cyberton scene on Youtube - but I don't recommend spoiling yourself the fun Watching this pure f-u to Bayformers movies is a treat in itself)

Watched two movies the other day: Venom and 5 Cowok Jagoan.

Due to incredibly low expectations, Venom was a lot better than I thought it would be.  It's by no means a deep movie but it was entertaining enough.

5 Cowok Jagoan, an Indonesian action/comedy/zombie film, was interesting.  A few of the jokes fell flat due to my complete ignorance of Indonesian pop culture.  The story was kind of all over the place and the ending set up a sequel that will probably never get made.  I've seen worse films but as far as Indonesia goes, nothing can top the Raid franchise.

We pretty much owe the Transformer franchise to China and their propensity to watch any movie with a giant robot in it no matter how bad it is.

I think Americans and European watchers are also partly to blame. Unfortunately many people associate Transformers with Bays over-the-top explosive vision of the franchise. People like it cus it's synonymous to mindless and visually aggressive popcorn flicks.

I don't think many people care about the source material, maybe they somewhat remember the toys but not much else. I've read an article somewhere that because Bumblebee, even if good or even great movie, is not what most people want and this will work against it. This or they don't care because there were so many Transformers movies already. So far ticket sales aren't that great, but because the budget wasn't as big as in previous movies it won't rather flop. But not-flopping is still worse then generating a lot of $ as it's predecessors. Bay might a butcher of the franchise, but he is still making money.

Well "blaming" is too hard of a word maybe. People watch what they want. I can be angry with Bay for "killing" the soul of the franchise, but to many people what I say is gibberish: "Dude, what do you want from those movies? It's about robots smacking the hell out of each other, nothing more. And it's actually fun". Later parts were unwatchable for me, too much chaos and craziness, but others do enjoy them.

I think it's good we actually did get a movie like Bumblebee, and I remember how skeptical I was at first: "Another Transformers movie, meh". But the more I watched the promo materials, the more I thought "this is something different". For me the movie made things right to some point. We might get nothing more, but this is plenty.

I haven't actually seen Bumblebee yet but it looks really good. Not a cluster**** movie like the others. And yes, it's China's fault.

I've never even seen the 3rd and 4th Transformer movies from start to finish. I saw the Last Knight but I zoned out and started doing something on the laptop most of the time. Auralnauts version of Age of Extinction looks 10x cooler than the original.

There's no saving grace for Bayformers movies. Even after watching the clip you referred to the only thing I see is a video reel of car manufacturer and fireworks producers adverts. Either you accept the movies as they are or look the other way...

Aquaman was OK. It is not a great movie though. It has no structure, it goes on for too long, or has story that makes a lot of sense. But it is entertaining. I give it a 6/10 and yet it still is the second best DC movie

Bumblebee on the otherhand is a good movie. It has a good scrpict, a great story and IT MAKES SENSE. I would not have thought of it, since every Transformers movie since the first has been utter crap. But we all love to give a second change to things, and here is a perfect example of why we should do so. I can recommend muchos this movie

Couldn't agree more. The ending is very disapointing, clearly this won't work without a sequel.

This "love story" was necessary, but turned out only funny while attempting to be seriously heartbreaking.

I have the whole original manga. From what I've seen the movie covers only a part of it. Things get really disturbing later on, don't know if they would be even able to adapt it on the big screen.

Regarding the movie: I will probably watch it at some point, but not hyped...

the graphics were good, though(especially being that i added some graphics/ideas from the sugar rush game for my homm3 candyland side project).

i'll watch "ralph breaks the internet" tomorrow. i wonder what this movie's message will be.

Thank goodness, I was not the only one. I keep hearing good things but this is kiddie material and the references will be lost on youngsters anyway. It wasn't even particularly funny, smart or thoughtful.
