Where did you deduce that from?

IIRC the scene with all the talking flowers (pic 4), and those two, fat, similar-looking doods (pic 3) doesn't appear in the original book.

I've recently gotten into the dirty Harry films. Anybody like these movies? I love them, good films and plenty of action.

Dirty Harry rules.  One of the best action 'heroes' ever .

A lot of film remakes recently, but that is not new.  Problem is that the sequals and remakes are usually not as good as the original.

Watched 12 rounds recently.  Suprisingly good and interesting, even if there were a few parts that was too..convienent.

Watched Vantage Point recently.  Was severely dissapointed.

I've seen a lot of youtube videos about Dirty Harry, most notably the famous movie quotes like "Do I feel lucky? Well do ya punk?" and "Go Ahead, Make My Day". Those are truly great quotes and they're great because of the effect it has on the person he's talking to, like the bad guy. I was out shopping the other day and saw "Dirty Harry: The Enforcer", so I decided to buy it and was not dissappointed.

I also bought Alien (had already seen it heaps but decided to buy it since I didn't have it) and Terminator 2 (Ultimate Collectors Edition) and Total Recall (Special Edition). I owned both movies before but decided to buy them because I didn't have the special and ultimate editions of them and they were on special.

I'm hoping to get a few DVD's for my birthday like the entire Dirty Harry collection, Desperado, Dr. Strangelove, Indiana Jones DVD's and more.

BTW, I agree with you about the remakes. I find it pretty unnecessary since the remakes are usually of movies that were good enough that a remake was not necessary and would never have been able to top the original. It's very disappointing.

Most of the movies Arny was in are pretty good (Terminator, Total Recall) though Kindergarden Cop was rather lame.  Twins (with Danny) just was TOO funny however.

Hehe yeah, Arny is awesome. He's not the best actor in things that aren't of the Action genre, but if the movie is Action then he's just great. Most notable examples are The Terminator and Terminator 2 imo.

@ Fauch, hehe yeah. I actually didn't realise duke Nukem said it until you mentioned it just then. lol

I cant wait for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!
Its my favorite book because it added so much depth (spelling?) to all the characters.

The first 5 minutes are already on youtube in german...
However, I have already seen errors that are in the film.

* The Millenium Bridge was completed in 2002 I think. HP is set in the 90s.
* Harry Potter doesnt have green eyes.
* Dudley is not blond.
* They removed many memories.
* Slughorn isnt fat!
* Why is the Ghost Trancendence (thats the swedish translation of the kind of teleportation used in the books) making the characters fly? -.-
* The whole scene at the Burrow didnt happen in the books.

I saw the movie "Taken" and I was impressed. It's a movie about a retired special agent who is struggling to regain a relationship with his daughter (the couple is divorced) after spending so many years hardly ever being at home. The daughter goes off on a trip to Paris and gets kidnapped by a certain group of people. The father pursues her and goes lawlessly ape**** on everything in his path. It's a lot like James Bond, except it doesn't suck. Worth the watch.

Michael Bay is only good at explosions...
There's nothing wrong with that... just it may have been a lot better without groan-worthy humor or megan fox.

Also, I saw princess bride today. Bloody dvd didn't have the scene with the pit of despair on it, but well, we still saw over 95% of the movie, so not all bad for 2 euroes. Also, I still ******* love that movie. It's one of the few movies I actually watched twice. great dialogue, humour, romance and badassery.

Oh btw, if you haven't seen Valkyrie yet, that's also a fascinating movie, and there's a few scenes that are tearjerkers. Not a whole lot of bad things to say about it: the acting, directing, and atmosphere were all excellent.

Since when has Tom Cruise ever been accused of bad acting? He did a really good job with Staffenberg.
