Okay so Frozen might be the best most progressive Disney movie I have ever seen. Women are equal to men, there's a gay couple and Disney FINALLY dealt with its patriarchical trope where the princess marries a man she just met. And I looooooooooooooove "Let It Go". It's such a progressive libertarian song and movie. Probably my favourite one from Disney. Keep it up!
9/10

How did I miss this! So, the early rough draft of Kill Bill was already on paper when Tarantino was filming Pulp Fiction:

Link to scene (Guess, it's been a while since I've seen this movie because I also never noticed the waiter was Steve Buscemi till now, which means he wasnt famous the last time I saw the scene.)

2016 - year of video game....movies?

Assassins creed movie and Warcraft movie are set to come out next year. Creed actually has better actors but a familiar face could be a bad thing in a movie based on a game. Hope both of them will be great.

Dont get your hopes too high, computer game movies suck big time 99 percent of the time. Mortal Combat, Lara Croft, Mario Brothers, Resident Evil (except maybe the first one which is only average though), Doom, Max Payne, Street Fighter... It's like a curse.

Stop the car. I will not have a fine, upstanding movie get tarnished by your prudish tastes. Mortal Kombat was an amazing movie and I will hear no more of it.

The fate of billions will depend upon you!

When I owned the VHS as an adolescent, I used to repeatedly rewind the credits at the end of the movie and frantically dance around the living room to the Mortal Kombat theme. Any sane person would do the same.

i have been watching a lot of movies lately. lets see... reviews...

the equalizer: nice violence. not much else worth caring about.

the drop: always a gandolfini(sp?) fan, i had to watch this one. i liked it. suspenseful.

cast away: finally watched it all the way through(i've only been able to catch pieces on t.v., until now). two thumbs up.

22 jump street: funny bromance, just as good as the first one.

nightcrawler: entertaining. creepy. the kind of movie that stands out, for how different it is from most.

neighbors: i got about 25 minutes into it, before turning it off. i could probably laugh at some other bits if i watched it, but it tries too hard.

non-stop: typical fare for that actor. not bad, not great.

teenage mutant ninja turtles: fun(and funny) movie. shredder's armor was gay. i don't see why he had to be mecha-shredder. dude was bad-ass in the beginning, then they had to go and gay him up. didn't care for the end either, but overall entertaining.

This ^^ I did it too, I have seen the movie so many times it fights with Aliens 2. And danced to the theme!

American Sniper: Okay, Bradley Cooper has one of the most balanced, natural performances I've ever seen and since the director is Clint Eastwood, some level of quality is inevitable and it's not a boring movie to look at. Although, I must say, this is the first time a Clint Eastwood picture actually disapointed me. Now, I know he's a Republican and I wasnt expecting the Thin Red Line, I can also understand the choice to stay out of politics and tell the story of an individual and his heroic struggle or whatever... But this is not even that, it's a film pretending to be a war drama about recent history with the conventions of an action movie, (there is even a nemesis sniper on "the bad guys" side). Every Iraqi in the movie is evil except the ones who get killed by the more evil Iraqis. The main character is shallow, overwhelmingly self-righteous without any justification or valid reason. That stands especially true, now that we know weapons of mass destruction was BS and somehow his world view doesnt seem to be much different in regards to how primitive it is, than the guys he's fighting. Really, the only difference is where as they are jihadist Muslims, he's an evangelical Texan, a tiny little detail since both sides are convinced that they are God's hammer put on this Earth to cleanse it. And since he has no dilemma or doubt about the situation he's in, there is no dramatic tension to actually work on but it's not exactly an action movie either. So you watch this robotic guy go back and forth to Iraq and home about four or five times and the only time he shows some kind of emotion is during his first mission when he has to shoot a kid (10 seconds) and another time where he almost had to (2 seconds). Btw, the addiction to combat and the twisted psychology behind it was examined much more artistically and deeply in the Hurt Locker, only a few years ago.

I really expected more from you Mr. Eastwood. And the most bizzare part was reading the IMDB comments afterwards and going through so many Americans writing stuff like "finally no more anti-war crap and a true story about our brave heroes." I cant believe they nominated this for an Oscar.

people are so snowing stupid.

just so you know, artu: the news media here ALWAYS portray soldiers currently employed by the government as holy servants of the land of milk and honey(aka the U.S.). it's sad that people don't have common sense. they could try actually joining the army, and getting a whiff of reality before they are even snowing assigned to a unit.

R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy

I guess they'll make a Big Bang Theory special after him, since Sheldon worshipped him like a god.

Finally saw Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and it's the most libertarian film I've ever seen so obviously I love it. I find it funny how some left wing journalists in Sweden try to make into a leftist film just so they can get the down with the kids, when its themes are obviously libertarians. The Capital in the films is a Soviet-like government forcing production quotas on the districts which keep them in poverty. The dictator/president keeps talking about the government's oppression being a social contract for upholding security and order. These are all libertarian criticisms against socialism and contract theory.

Aye, an interesting piece of work indeed. And creepy too, Jake Gyllenhaal is an excellent choice for the lead role.
