Hopefully not with the same weak point than the previous two...although I've read it is actually a sort of frozen planet transformed into a star system killing thingy
One nice not-so-little tidbit I got from this trailer, is what the Hell is going with Luke. The trailer suggests that Luke went into hiding after the events of ep. VI, hence why both the Jedi and the Sith have become more of a myth than by ep. IV. Since he's missing from the official poster too, my guess is that he'll make an appereance deep into the movie and will carry a bigger role by ep. VIII.

Dont know what to think about star wars 7. Dont like they are again using the same death star concept crap again, but this time "spoilers" it can destroy a lot more than planet.
Like that this time there is actually some acting compared to prequels.
The other thing I dont like and it looks bad is the fighter combat. It just looks to fast and to much CGI in a bad way. Shame they didnt go with models/CGI combination to make it look better and more real, but went the cheaper way.
Generally a mix feeling, will wait and see.

Nice catch, I had not noticed that one! Makes sense, given how fragile they are .
And with regards to Tatooine, it's a staple planet in the series by now. The only movie in which it didn't feature was Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Somewhere in trailer 1 or 2, Han Solo says to Chewbacca that they "are home", which is a rather direct reference to Tatooine.
Also, did you know that the original shooting of the desert part of the movie was done in Tunesia, near a town called Tataouine. Guess where the desert planet got its name.

That is not Tatooine but Jakku. The "Han Solo says to Chewbacca that they are home" is when they get back in their millennium falcon. Tatooine was never their home in the first place anyway.

Thanks for that pointer. I've found this wookiepedia link detailing some more information. Truth be said, I tried to spoil as little for myself as possible, so I didn't go on an active information hunt yet. This piece is interesting without being a real spoiler . Note though, that I didn't say the planet showcased in the Episode VII trailer would be Tatooine.

I know, they were smugglers going from one end of the galaxy to the other; yet, they were working for Jabba until they met up with Obi Wan and Luke and Tatooine is known to be a favorite hide-out for those who have reason to need a hide-out.

I've read somewhere that Luke is going to be a Yoda-like figure in this trilogy, hence we should expect more of him in the next film.
About the trailer. What can I say? I truly enjoy it and I can't wait till the 19th December to finally watch it.
And about the Death Star-like structure - both trilogies share tons of similarities in terms of their plot, so we can expect to see another huge object go boom.
PS. Has anyone noticed this is the first trailer where Finn is breathing normally?! Maybe he got rid of his asthma?
PPS. I might be a little bit obsessed about the trailer. I've already seen it 5 times today and I expect a few more. Should I be worried?

It makes sense for Luke to be like Yoda. Also, I am really happy Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are back, that's what I think any sequel of a great franchise needs.

everyone has bills to pay; moreso with hollywood types. nearly everyone in the entertainment industry is about making money. even most of those who start off as actual artists, change; once they see amounts of cash that can buy expensive things. *lucas has a rich appetite. i have no doubts he's only milking the series to pay off what's sure to be his extraordinary bills. this is exactly why you see otherwise rich celebrities appearing in commercials; their lifestyles demand large incomes.
i only hope that it's a good movie. i'd be surprised if it was a great one, because i keep my expectations moderate. hype is only a thing that sells; what you want to happen, is to be blown away after having lower expectations. it's easier that way, and you'll be less disappointed if things turn out bad. which they most inevitably will.
that said, i'm certainly looking forward to seeing the movie. i was a huge fan of the original star wars trio, as a kid. i still have the little luke skywalker action figure where the "light saber" comes out of his arm. i've got chewbacca somewhere too. i used to pretend he was a werewolf.
*spielberg? lol. i was thinking of the indiana jones debacle.

So now the Back to the Future film with a future sequence is officially "dated". But it won't stop me from enjoying it again.
Also, hoverboards, please!
