Captain Marvel was solid and fun. More then I would assume so. I wouldn't call it one of the weakest Marvel movies, Iron Man 3 is still far ahead. I like how they joined together quiet a few threads and answered trivia questions. Feels like the movie fits the whole MCU narrative quite well. Larson wasn't as bad as people pictured her, though she did feel a bit too full-of-herself.
If it weren't for the bias I would probably enjoy it even more. Gotta thank all that happened around the movie for that, I just couldn't completly throw this out of my head. There were more then one nods against males, but I don't want to drag it, it's not worth it. Let's drop the subject.
Lesson learned: do not read internets before going to a movie.

I plan to watch Alita, but don't know if I'll find the time. I have the original manga (without sequels) and I remember being quite impressed by it. Hope they didn't butcher it that much in the movie...

It's ~2 hours and 15 minutes so obviously they can't fit everything in but I loved it.
Fortunately I didn't read the manga, so no expectations

I know it covers part of the manga, up to some point. What I meant by butchering is if it feels like a proper adaptation, not a CGI festa with no substance...

It looks hilarious. I think it will have a similar vibe to Venom. Critics will give it bad reviews but audiences for the most part will love it.
I can already tell based on the trailer that critics will think it is crap.

It’s obvious that Hollywood is way passed its golden age and so out of ideas but if a movie as young as Hellboy is getting a remake, it’s much worse than I thought. What’s next, Spider Man’s 6th reboot?

Since comic book movies are literally propping up the movie industry, I think they'd prefer a recent reboot over trying something new.
You can't say people haven't tried. They still make fantasies and sci fi's that don't follow the comic book mold but a lot of them bomb. I fully expect Dark Phoenix to be garbage.

I don't particularly look forward to it but I hope they'll manage a decent ending for the series. Even if I'm not really a fan of Sophie Turner.
I really want to see the mcu take on xmen.

Actually the most "lol" remake I've heard about is Suicide Squad 2. Yes, it's actually a reboot (the movie is 3 yrs old ffs) with new cast and director (Gunn who was snatched from MCU after his social media post affair, but who currently went back to being GotG 3 helmer).
