Im gonna watch REC alone in the dark now.

I really, really like horror movies because often they have really cool twist endings or not-so-happy endings.

I actually do not like happy endings, or well it depends on the movie.

I like endings that are both happy and sad.
So maybe the good guys win for now, but the enemy is still out there plotting. This also opens possible sequels.

edit: FINALLY! I just saw the Sixth Sense finally. However, OF COURSE I had already heard of the twist from a Family Guy episode like a thousand times before seeing it but I still enjoyed it.

It is hard for me to say if it was predictable since I already knew the twist but honestly, I think I would have been able to figure out the twist because there were just so many signs like X character never ever interacting with another character except the boy.

I'm highly skeptical about the Expendables. Heavy action movies like that have a tendency to either be awesome or mind-numbingly stupid. I think they're good as long as the movie doesn't take itself seriously. When the movie takes itself seriously, it turns sour.
You should watch it! It's really entertaining and funny! At least that's my personal opinion. Good ol' action!

Just saw "the game" from the 1990s.

WTF.

The horrible, horrible twist which is the worst twist I have ever seen in a movie ruined the entire movie. The movie isnt realistic at all, I would have suicided halfway. One day they are in San Fransisco, the next day they are in Mexico.

The movie seemed good, it seemed like a real mystery thriller movie but

now im going to rate it 0/10 on imdb and write a big review on how horrible the twist is

im seriously pissed off on this movie because it seemed good except for the slow start and I got more and more excited etc and then it all breaks down for the horrible twist in the ending

Today I saw "The Seventh Seal" again. It gets a 10/10

This movie is about a knight, Antonius Block (played by Max von Sydow) who returns to Sweden infested by plague, after he was away 10 years in the crusade. At the start of the movie it is time for him to die and Death comes to take him away. At this point, he makes a deal with Death : they play chess, he gets to live as long as the game takes place and if he wins, he gets to live.

In my opinion, Antonius knew he never had a chance but he bought more time to seek some personal answers about God and his purpose and existence. The movie has a high philosophical theme around God, Death and humans and each of the characters in the movie underline this in their own way.

The ending is opened to debate. I personally found three explanations for it and all of them are right in one way or another. In conclusion, it is a very interesting, disturbing and compelling movie by Ingmar Bergman. It's simple and yet complicated, dramatic and yet funny.

This is why it gets a perfect score in my book.

Saw Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps yesterday.

Felt too long, could've cut it down to about 2/3. The ending sucked balls too.

Other than that it was enjoyable.

Saw "Exam" movie yesterday.
I must admit I find it quiet fascinating. Very interesting idea.
I'm rarely such impressed with films, even though the budget of it isn't so high. That was really good one.

Cube is much further from the reality.

In Exam I liked the way the relations between people is described.
At first they decide to work as a team, and as there remains less time till the end of exam, some choose between different methods to get the ultimate job, from tortures to murder...
Everybody acts absolutely logical as an individual and they all as a team.
Very original idea.

the setting isn't the same, but isn't there similarities in the plot?

1st, people are like "wtf?!", then they think if they work as a team they can make it, and finally, they end up murdering each other

we don't know the truth in cube (maybe in the sequels) but one of the characters' guess is they are subjects for a test, it seems it could be one more similarity

I just watched taxi driver and I really liked it. It reminded me a lot of fight club and "the catcher in the rye."
This means it was an amazing movie, by the way. Though, I didn't quite get the ending. Or, well, maybe it was meant to be a huge kick in the nuts towards romance. In that area it contrasted fight club nicely.[/implied invitation to discuss this with me or call out my nerdiness]

Just rewatched Zero: Lilac Lithuania.
For some it may look like a simple Tarantino style movie, but it tends to explore those sides of life that we tend to ignore. The swearwords are giving the spice of reality which is missing in similiar movies made by Hollywood. It also proves that russian is the only way to swear. English sub is horrible.
