Every day is like the one before,
I'll learn something I didn't know before,
And I will live until I live no more.

The number of the year may change,
But the person I am is still the same.
I'm one year older, but my opinions remain.

Last year show us that no one is protected, that 100 and more years of "colonization", empirialism and slavery will be paid someday by the real evil-doers. Not that i say that the other side is right - they are just both wrong. So the big brother used to nap little brother all this years, but see the little one got the gun, and hit the older one - well couldn't kill him, just hurt his eyes so he couldn't not look anymore proudly to anyone else. And again - didn't kill him, but made him very angry. Now the little brother is nowhere to be found.

The truth prevail's.

Well, for example. The US got #@&*'d up. Government force's can't focus on setting up colony's in outer space right now.
But you can!
ALthough, I dont know what good it would do, what kind of resource's (LoL) are out there which would allow prosperity?

(I could think of a few other reason's too)

Hmmm, Malkia.  If you want to use the brothers analogy...Bigger brother made all the right choices in life and was well rewarded for his efforts.  He became so rich and powerful that he realized he had a great responsibility to the rest of socity.  So, he gave and gave and gave some more.  But, with all of his giving he had some expectations.  And those were that the people he gave to treat each other with kindness and do what is right.  Needless to say this big brother has been consistently disappointed--yet that has not prevented him from giving still more to society.  Now little brother, jealous of big brother's success and hating him for being such a good person, decided to pop bigger brother in the head with a baseball bat when big brother's bodyguards had the day off.  Now as good as big brother has been, he can be equally terrible in his vengeance when provoked.  How do we know this?  Because some distant cousin once gave big brother a black eye when big brother wasn't quite so big and benevolent.  So, big brother has disowned little brother.  And it's now time to commence with several ass-whuppings.

Looks like someone needs a history lesson...continuing with the brothers theme.

Little brother gets invaded by big cousin who wants land.  Big brother helps little brother because he doesn't like big cousin, but doesn't really bother with the fact that little brother happens to be more than strong in their beliefs. Eventually, big cousin is driven out by little brother and all is well.

Years pass, and little brother ain't looking too good.  He's living from hand to mouth and thinking more about survival than anything else. He spends all his money trying to make his hair look good instead of finding a better job.  He just realized that big brother has been helping out his other cousins to the east a lot, but mostly because big brother is getting a good deal on goods he needs.  Little brother gets surly and starts to feed upon its own anger.

Finally, little brother finds a plan to hurt big brother where he feels it will hurt the most.  He sabatoges big brother's biggest business: his bank.  Big brother, blind with rage, is ready to throttle little brother without stopping to think about why his bank got burnt up in the first place.

America may be the most well-to-do country around, but we have our share of issues to deal with as well.  Us self-centered Americans (and most of us are, usually including yours truly) have the luxury to think about gas prices and making sure every country in the world should be a democracy, because obviously a representational government is the best way to go.  Democratic elections worked real well for Germany back in 1933, didn't it?

Before you start tooting the nationalistic horn that America is perfect, do your f'n research.

Well, well.  I kind of expected this, especially from a gutless puke, but not you Gimmickless.  I actually am a student of history and am aware as to why our 'great' experiment with democracy has succeeded where others have failed.  Do you?  You want to concentrate on our country's blunders just to show your international friends how sensitive to their feelings you are?  Do you use self-deprecation as a means to try and garner a laugh?  I am quite well aware of what this country has done and hasn't done.  Let me sum it up for you.  We saved the world from the Axis powers.  Does anyone deny that?  We spearheaded the assault on smallpox to eradicate it from the world.  We have a liberal democracy that is the envy of the world.  Through the luck of having great natural resources and hard work we have become the most prosperous nation in the history of the planet.  We have become the world's lone military superpower.  The Gulf War proved that.  We fought Leninism and watched it finally collapse onto itself.  We have millions of people knocking on our shores to immigrate and become citizens and have an opportunity to have a prosperous life.   This list goes on....
What we haven't done.  We haven't recognized enough that militant Islam is not compatible with our system of government.  We haven't leaned on Israel enough to make peace with the Palestinians.  We haven't always made the best choices for the rulers of nations that we have supported.  We had no business in Vietnam, which was a colonial conflict.  We haven't reconciled either the legacy of slavery or with what America's forefathers did to the Native Americans.  We have acted against the greater good for the world for selfish reasons (Kyoto accord comes to mind) at times.  Guess what.  If the good was weighed against the bad,  I know where the balance would be way tipped.  Now, is that enough f'n research for you?  Or do you need some more?

Nice counterpoint there, Gootch.  I was expecting somebody to put me in my place, but I wasn't exactly sure who it'd be.  Nice to know that it's someone who has their eyes open on history.

I made USA's history sound more negative than it deserves, bad on me.  I'm not exactly for people who see nothing but ill where we live either. But I'm also incredibly irritated of seeing mindless flag-wavers where I live that think they're automatically on the side of all that is good and pure like this was God vs. Satan or the Homecoming football game or something.  You dumbed down two decades of foreign policy to the level of a morality tale, and that p!sses me off. I felt I had to make the other side of the coin known, so I did what I could to make it clear.

And as for gutless puke....nice epithet.  I'll have to include it in the wall of shots taken at me online. I still got love for you, though.

And there's my five cents, adjusted for ego inflation.

um... claiming to have saved the world from the axis powers is a bit rich, the Russians were more influential against the Germans and the Italians were pretty lame anyway so the only part of the war you won conclusively was against the japanese and you unleashed the most terrible weapon ever on them; admittedly not knowing what the consequences would be but still.  As for being the envy of the world I don't know anyone who envies America, I'd rather be British any day.  Also the American desire to see democracy every where is actually more to do with free market economies and hence greater commercial opportunities for American companies.  (Most of what I've said is fairly accurate and I believe it all)

News-Flash KingDylan.  Did you ever hear of lend-lease?  Or is that something that your schools have conveniently forgotten to teach you?  Not only did the USA give to the Brits, but also to the Russians.  I'm surprised you're not spouting off about what a brilliant chap ol' Monty was.  By the way, thanks for the use of the harbor.
