I hate WoW copies, even more than WoW. It pisses me off when people start making games when they can't come up with anything of their own and they have to steal ideas elsewhere.

guildwars is the best monthly fee free mmorpg , not free though... but you can buy the 3 campaigns for only 49.95 and play all the time you want...
it have the best ingame economy I ever seem, try it you will not be disappointed

What game is like wow, the one I posted a screen shot of? I have not played wow but it doesn't seem to me that it was copied to make Shaiya. Even if some parts are similar, when in the future are the ideas going to completely run out?
@Father I will get into that game when I get tired of this one. Maybe I will balance both but at the same time I have a lot of real projects going on. I'll get there though.. Thanks.

thats kind of funny because a lot of games have those basic parts of GUI's
To say a game is unoriginal because for instance you and party members are listed on screen with stats is to limit ourselves to the point, that we would run out of material to make stuff..
One day, we will have to recycle old ideas for new stuff.. a lot more than we do now
This falls under the same logic that at the rate we are going taking more and more land for graveyards, one day we will have to stop and find another solution else we will run out of land.
However, with games and ideas, the rate of road block is much much much [edit= much much much much] quicker than grave yards becoming a majority of the lands.
To say a game is unoriginal because there is dexterity and intelligence, or whatever, is not very rational to say we cannot use these types of things else it is a spin off .
it's the same thing as saying streets of rage is a rip off of double dragon, and every other last game like that. Heck if you want to get technical, why disclude ninja gaideon one ? And TMNT, wrath of the black manta, well, they are fighting so you can include any game with violence.. how about that game kung fu? Its a rip off of some atari game, I know that...
Basically, you feel free to keep your opinion but I will ignore it unless you verbally attack me with irrational beliefs like, there is a list of party members so it is a copy from WOW.
"Action bars" were used WAY before WOW.. One thing that comes to my mind is diablo but I am 100% positive that under your logic WOW ripped that idea off. I could go on, but, I am going away instead. Take care.

but I have to ask, honestly, are you seriously saying those qualities are WOW exclusive or something?

the fact that you feel this way AND to believe that we wont run out of new ways if every single detail like a health bar should be exclusive to a single game! This is crazy mortal kombat had a health bar before wow. There were dungeons and parties in games a lonnnnngggg time ago. I can't think of many MMORPGs that don't share these common things like stats and bosses
so please..
I am not laughing now but if you still try to say WOW should OWN stat bars and party lists etc I will start lmao

Now you're just listing every little thing from different games that were before WoW. But what I mean, is that WoW was the first game to put all those things in one game succesfully. And when some people noticed that it worked and Blizzard Entertainment made hell lot of a profit with it, they simply created a similar game with exactly same features differing only by graphics and background so it wouldn't violate copyrights. That is what pisses me off.

That sounds like diablo and nwn... Games from 2001-2002...

I'm starting to hate not just MMOs (though they ARE like 90% of the whole complaint) but virtually every RPG. And that's simply because of "magical items" (by this I mean 'magical enhanced swords/rings/armor/whatever' crap for everyone) that have to be looted/extracted or otherwise bought or anything. I hate looting, I hate items.

I hate twelvesky, now, because you have to build your character in a certain way for him to be effective... I'd rather have my stats automatically arranged or just the option to follow a build throughout the way I'm levelling up. It would make it less complicated and impossible to **** it all up.

There are none. No decent free MMOs. There is only the World of Warcraft and... that unreleased Star Wars MMO 
Just kidding, some of these looks really good actually. Although the star wars mmo still looks awesome... perhaps I will cheat with WoW.

to be honest is a random pic from google search ... but my account have about 2300 hours with all the characters over a 3 years ... and is not a shared account ... I used to play a lot when I was working at a cyber cafe I just play about 10 hours at week... still a good time to have fun
