Is it true?

Is it true that in the US the week begins on Sunday? And that they write month/date/year?
If its true then the US is different in every single way, are they swapping or are they staying with this to be annoying to the rest of the world?

Yes, it's true. When I moved from Russia, I had to adjust. And it makes no sense. Saturday and Sunday are the weekend - shouldn't they be at the end of the week? And month/day/year makes no sense, either. Why is it medium/small/large? It'd make more sense if it was day/month/year or year/month/day.

In certain ways americans should claim themselves responsible to understand the rest of the worlds basic explanations. I am not saying particularly day/month/year or anything, but why dont schools start teaching the basics of multilinguistcs instead of the lower extreme understandiung vs nil!

Americans should open their minds to mexicans. They are neighbors and we should find solutions to welcome them and compromise to fragmental degrees with the struggling American workers.

This is not spam, but bill gates could even be suspective to helping other countries by making such crappy business arrangements and productions that anyone with a lot of knowledge and team work could out smart his works.

I doubt it but dang, americans are not superior, we should all consider ourselves equals, hence I proclaim the new stamp of multi concpetionism.

Yes, but a month is a longer period of time than a day.

But there is a good thing about illegal immigrants: they're bringing the metric system with them.

I don't think there is any official beginning of the week. The American calendar usually starts on Sunday, but I think psychologically most people think of Monday being the start of the week and Sunday being the end of the week.

Besides, what difference does it make? It's like trying to find the beginning or end of a circle.

We are not the government people but we represent the voice of a minority that we hope one day shall rise above and call upon to the greater good, by each of our input in whichever way we precieve our call of peace to be as individuals representing that the governments ahll by no way be able to withdrawal from changing to our ways.

Our ways, are the new ways. The ways that should have been the future long ago, but only now have we risen in the eyes or eyelessness of the greater good.

This not focuses on animal rights, or equality, or the environment, but in all ways that we together come to compromise on for the greater good known as "the best we can do"

We do not want to go out of our ways to conserve water and electricity, we DEMAND that you give this to use, and there will be an additional lexicon and method of communication other than english. Not only to establish difference and change, but to signify that we are here together and represent a willingness to understand and emphasize.

Again i speak for myself!@

Mustn't forget that we drive on the RIGHT side of the road! LOLZ.

Actually I rode a motorcycle around Thailand for 3 weeks and I can tell you that driving on the wrong side of the road is not very exciting; it bothers you for about 2 days but then everything is OK after that.

What drives me crazy is SITTING on the wrong side of the CAR. I could live outside the US for 10 years and I would STILL be uncomfortable in an international car.

------------

Everyone in the US has two sets of tools: one for American parts and one for Japanese parts - and if you ever mix them up you strip whatever nut you were trying to turn.

Some of our rulers have inches up one side and CM down the other - it's a real bummer when you take a measurement but read the wrong unit!

------------

The cell phones don't work here. If you bring a non-US phone into the US, or a US phone outside the US, then you can't connect because our companies are all trying to be a monopoly. Plus, our nation is around 70% dead zone. We have a whole cell phone service ad campaign where the whole point is "we have fewer dead zones than they do!"

That's what we get for investing all that money into laying down our humongous land-line network!

What happens when you drive from a driving-on-the-right country into a driving-on-the-left country?

It's like... crossing the streams!  :twilight zone music:

Map lies! Sweden drives on the best side - LEFT! The most logical side! They drived on the left when I was in Egypt, Greece and Turkey too!

I was suprised when I saw the Simpsons intro and payed attention for the first time. I was shocked and horrified. They drived on the left.

Byt why most everything in the US be so complicated? Why cant they just use the normal stuff like centimeters etc instead of the annoying yards and gallons etc that seem to only exist to annoy the rest of the world.
And I dont understand the PM/AM system either, the 24 hour clock system makes much more sense and is so much easier.

edit: I misunderstood. I thought you meant that the drivers seat was on the right side... so Sweden does drive on the right side but the driver sits on the left side.

Even though I usually disagree with what you say, Xerox, I must say that I agree with you that the best and most logical side is driving on the left. Good one.
