Higuaín missing a big chance for the third final in a row, Messi missing a penalty and now half the Argentina squad announcing their retirement from their National Team, Messi included. The snow happened last night?

Jürgen Klopp signs six-year contract extension with Liverpool

OK, seriously WTF? No matter how big a man-crush the people at Liverpool have for the guy this is seriously insane. Sure he's a good coach with an inspiring presence and whatnot but SIX years after only a 9 month spell in charge? Not even Wenger or Guardiola get offered such contracts...

I guess they are confident that he won't quit the job two days after signing for it

He's spent 7 years at each of his clubs, so they just make that official.

Barcelona is throwing a PR campaign to support Messi after being sentenced to 21 months for frauding €4.1m...no, it's actually worse than you imagine. Directly extracted from their official page:
Quote:
"FC Barcelona has set up a campaign in support of Leo Messi following the sentence issued this week against the Argentinian and his father.
Using the hashtag #WeAreAllLeoMessi while posting a photo or message with both hands open, the campaign is encouraging all Barça fans to express their sympathy for the greatest footballer in the world by voicing their unconditional support on social networks.
By making it clear that #WeAreAllMessi, we want Leo to know that he is not alone. All members, supporters clubs, fans, athletes, media and everyone else are invited to participate."

This HAS to backfire. It's beyond ridiculous!

Soooo, Group Stage groups are out!

Such unbalanced groups we got this year. Groups C, D and F are heavily stacked, while G is the easiest group in history lol. A few other groups (A, B, H) should have pretty clear winners. Can't make heads or tails of group E though.

Will Arsenal end second in their groups as they always do?

Barcelona v Celtic                     6:0
Basel v Ludogrets                      3:1
Bayern v Rostov                        4:0
Benfica v Besiktas                     2:0
Dynamo Kyjiv v Napoli                  1:1
Manchester City v Borussia M'gladbach  2:3
PSG v Arsenal                          1:1
PSV Eindhoven v Atlético Madrid        0:3

Thank God there is finally some football happening again. Too much time since the Euros. Can't wait to see how Man City and Arsenal fail this time around.
Arsenal will probably win their group only to meet straight with Bayern who became 2nd in their group on goal difference or something.

Hey look, RM pulled a comeback on the last 5 minutes of the match after playing poorly 2/3rds of the game. Some things never change.

Kinda like Leverkusen giving away a healthy lead. Or Totteham disappointing in Europe. Check, check, check lol
