Hazard pulling a Ramos in the pen spot. Lovely

Edit: I see Costa hasn't changed a bit. And he got one of Arsenal sent off

Costa is such a tool no wonder Chelsea fans love him.

Before I just didn't like Chelse very much even if I respected them but it has become such a typical Mourinho team that it is actually impossible to like them at all.

I hated him since his Atletico days, he was so infurating to play against. I'll admit his clashes with Ramos and Pepe where funny though

Edit: So Robert Lewandowski is pretty good, huh.

Costa is getting a 3 match ban it seems. I think he deserves more.
Also Chelsea got sued by their medic for public humiliation.
Such a classy club.

Arsenal has lost the first two matches. Next they have to face Bayern twice.

Fun football fact: Unless both the Turks and the Kazakh win their matches today, Hungary will go through, which would mark their first appearance in 44 years. Coincidentally, the 2016 competition will feature an expanded number of teams, and despite this, their fate is hanging by a thread. Effing shameful, as far as I'm concerned, Hungarian football died in '56. Long live Grosics & Co!

To be fair they are changing the guard, so to speak. They'll make it to the next tourney, I say. But they're underachievers nonetheless.

Yeah, for me football has died somewhere in the 2000s, when, first, RM unbalanced the transfer market by signing up the likes of figo, zidane, ronaldo (the brazilian), and becks, and years later after the messi/cr hysteria has been shoved down our throats by betting mob and mass media.

I really miss the football played for real, when there wasn't this messi / cristiano forced and fake competition, totally dismissing all other players. I could go in details on why this is corrupt football, but I'm not in the mood right now. I'll just say 2 things:

1) watch messi's disgust when he was awarded the trophy for the best player of the 2014 WC (he clearly knew that he didn't deserved the trophy, yet, they decided to give it to him, therefore his disgusted face)

2) the season when Bayern won the UCL against Dortmund (was it 2013?? not sure). The Ballon Dór should have clearly and by far been won by one of BM's men (ribbery, robben, lahm, even neuer or alabar or even muller deserved it in that season), yet, they gave it to... drum roll... messi, who has only played in several matches the entire season, for the most part being injured.

If these 2 cases are not examples of corruption in football, I don't know what else is. Again, I won't get into more details about how Faroe defeats Greece twice, or how Netherlands needed a draw against Germany in the last group match of 2012 EURO and how they didn't leave their half for 70 minutes of fear they might accidentally score a goal, and how Germany didn't press or push them into their own half for the said 70 minutes cause they had no reason to... anyway, I'm stopping here, cause I made my point, but I seriously miss the good ol' days'football, when players (and coaches, why not!) were more preoccupied with playing for fun, then for the results.

Also, I miss (A LOT) emblematic players like del piero, nedved, raul, maldini, shevchenko. To me (maybe I'm a bit biased because I like BM since... ever), but seriously, to me only Bayern (of all the big clubs) look like a real club. RM and Barca have been stuffed with known stars, whereas Bayern Munchen has made their players stars. Nobody ever heard of Alaba, or Muller, or Lahm, or Schweiny before playing for Bayern. And I don't see why Alaba for example is a worse player than CR. I'm sure that with the right substances.... cough... I mean, training (yeah, with the right training), and against the right opponents (Rayo, Almeria, Granada, Elche, Levante, etc) would score at least half of the goals that CR score. Not to mention that Alaba is better than CR in most of the positions on the field, and not to mention that even Lahm at this age is still better than CR on most positions on the field. CR can only score and that's about it. He can't defend, he can't create and he rarely helps the team.

Ok, I'll really end it here

Just bring the football back!

I agree! I also wished they would replace those scrubs from the CL and replace them with 20th Century All-Time greatest with that Time Machine of yours! CR & Messi need a real challenge

And I'd like to say a few words on the CR-Messi rivalry: If they were not playing for two of the biggest rival teams in the world, I do not think there would be such a need to focus on them and pit them against each other. But I don't know for sure.

And another thing, Barcelona had Villa and Ibrahimovic several years ago, but Messi still had to take center stage. I'm not doubting the man's goal records or anything, but there is clear favoritism, especially coming from fifa-Blatter.
