He definitely likes to use his head. Shame Casillas doesn't do the same

Well, that could have been worse. The full back of Madrid + Casillas + Ramos were so bad today

Bale didn't do anything, he is not half the player he was for Totenham. I think moving to Real was probably the worst thing he could have done.

Real are going to sign either Simeone or Klopp. Now those two know how to counterattack and can make much better use of someone like Bale.
Either way they are not going to sell him untill the T-shirt sales have brought back the signing fee(meaning probably never).

Indeed, Bale has regressed a lot this year. Last season he was great (not all the time, mind you) but this year he looks like lacking a ton of confidence. Ancelotti always puts him in the starting 11 whenever he is available, and that really hurts RM play. Yesterday Chicharito was much better despite playing in the worst part of Madrid's time (2nd half)...

What the hell am I watching just now...
This is tactical sucide by Pep. Only 3 defenders against MSN???? And no midfield to speak of?
Sitting on needels doesn't describe watching this Bayern defence. It's like watching the game with a pineapple shoved up your arse!!!

And Alonso seriously needs to get his game together. Barely managed a single succesful pass this half.

3 for 3, right?

It's not like Messi is impossible to stop, but that big three on attack together are just....so snowing good. This is Barça treble to lose...

Atleast Bayen played a style more true to themselves in the second half but really the problem was that there was just no attacking option on the bench(or all that much in the starting eleven).
I want to be mad at Pep for taking off Müller for a Götze who played a pretty medioce season sofar but there really were no other real attacking option. And this is why I'm still mad at him selling Mandzukic.

Yeah, they had what, zero shots on target? (I started watching by the time 2nd half started).

Of course we can't forget that Bayern have a ton of injuries too, most notably Robben & Ribery on attack, but I get your point. Having only Lewandowski as a striker it's bad planning by Pep.

I just can't believe it has been only 2 years since Bayern destroyed Barça in the same stage...is Pep to blame here?

In short. Yes.

In these two years Bayern peaked way to early in both seasons.
Unprecedented injuries after a tiring world cup year didn't help but dismantling and rearranging the defensive midfield, moving the worlds best left back AND right back into midfield and the FRIGGIN tactical inflexibility is there by design. One can only change the tactics during the game so mush before you get found out.

That and the fact that before the injuries really kicked in he failed to really integrate both Lewandowki and Götze into the team. Lewandowski played awesome these past few weeks but only because Pep finally had to give in and play partly conventional tactics.

But today Barca were really in form so hats off to them.

Yes I agree Barca are in a rich vein of form and that front three is like wow just wow.
I don't rate pep, he has ruined Bayern like @Fuchris said with all his experiments and poor decisions. Everyone thought he was something special after his success with Barca but in truth I think any of us could have done the same with that group of awesome players - It was the team not the manager. I think even he believes the bullsnow they say about him and thinks he can choose whatever tactics he likes and win every time but when he faces a really good team his tactical inadequacies show through. Bayern were better before him.

A brave fight back by Bayern but it was too little too late.  Pep needs to stop tinkering and get the basics right. Barca are going to win Champions league for sure.

Well, playing him in the right position would help, no doubt about that.

But I'm not sure if Cristiano will leave this summer. I can see staying at least one more season

Edit: it's worth mentioning that spanish press have spent the whole year bashing Bale, and a lot of fans have fallen for that.

Neither of them are going anywhere. Real is not Real without the most expensive footballer no matter who he is atm. Unless they sign Neymar off Barca for 200 mill Ronaldo is there to stay.
Although after they sold Robben and Özil and now Morata it seems logic is not something one can count on with Florentino.

Lol that is exactly what the media has said about Bayern after the loss to Barca but truth is that they only need a fully fit squad that has competition within the team for the places. Same is true for Real.
Both Ancellotti and Guardiola failed to keep a healthy fight for the places in the starting eleven. Especially Guardiola who straight out refused to change his "favourite" team in the first half of the season.
