| Random map generator failure?
I was playing a game on my friend's laptop with one other guy. It was HoMM III Complete and we used the RMG to make a map. After exploring around for about a week I realized that my area had no exits; it is impossible for me to reach the other players.

I was just wondering, how is this possible? I thought the RMG was programmed to make sure everyone always has an exit.

| The RMG has some problems.
In a map, I had almost no goodies around, and my opponent was bathing in gold.

And sometimes it is possible to be blocked by mountains all around, but this also happens mostly when playing the original RMG.

Custom made RMG's hardly create any maps like that...

| I had this not too long ago and I was hoping for fly/dd to be able to escape.  Around Week 3 someone dimension doored in and I thought/hoped that heroe would just have a scroll.  To my luck he ran away before I could fight him with main.  I did not wait for another chance on that map. ____________

| I have never seen such bugs on custom-made templates. However on some huge original templates (XL+under) where there are 30+ zones RMG has problems with zone connections, it uses many-way monolith, when there are no more many-way then it uses one-way monolith and perhaps later it just places no monolith at all... |

| RMG is notoriously buggy. Zones with no entrances or exits are pretty common. And I can't count the number of times it's screwed me over with a stack of Rust Dragons or some other L7 junk between me and my sawmill. |

| Can you direct me to a link that explains how to edit templates? I understand the gist but not the specifics. ____________
