Well, heretic is such a nasty word to a catholic...
But enough with the religious terminology!

EDIT: this is a lame continuation.

Agreed. Jehovah's Witnesses are perhaps the most annoying religious organisation of all time.

Romney. His dad was the governor of Michigan, and he himself was the governor of Massachusetts, where he established a form of universal health care . He also ran the Salt Lake City Olympics, and was generally judged to be successful at that. He also ran some kind of successful financial company.

Jindal. He is the child of Hindu immigrants. He's the governor of Louisiana, and delivered the response to Obama's speech to Congress this year. I think it speaks for itself.

Thune. No one really knows much about him. He's generally seen as charismatic and conservative. Senator from South Dakota.

Paul. A small-government conservative (some describe him as libertarian, but he isn't). Representative from Texas. He's old, but awesome. He wants to get out of Iraq and Afghanistan. But he wants to abolish the Fed .

Not at ALL. You can talk with them. They like to have a real talk instead of always hearing, shove off. I always try to spare some time when they ring my bell, usually on Saturdays. I never had any problems with any of them.
I mean, at least they DO something, Go from door to door. Not preaching in some fancy TV show. They got balls, they are polite amd they make clear and concise no-nonsense points.

That's why they're so annoying. If they're just on TV, I can just change the channel. But if they're ringing my doorbell, I have to get up, answer the door, and tell them to get lost.

If Republicans had to choose a candidate right now, today, they would probably pick Romney. If Romney ran against Omaba right now, today, he would certainly lose. In fact, no known republican candidate could reasonable beat Obama today. In order for Obama to lose two years from now, a lot of big changes will have to happen.

If the Republican Party wants back in this game, they will have to completely rebuild their whole strategy over the next two years. The strategy they're using today is outdated, outplayed, and out of touch with reality. They have only two options left - adapt or die.

In my opinion, the hot new topic - assuming that the republican party is able to turn its brain back on - will be debt. Obama has put forth a federal budget with such a huge level of overspending it's setting records for how quickly a budget can set new records. America is getting sick of this growing national debt. Even many democrats are wising up to the long-term effects of such a plan. If the republican candidate takes up the slogan "Think about our children - don't leave them paying off our debts", he will probably be able to steal the reelection from Obama.

What a snake pit this forum has become.
Hey, maybe it always was and I've only just woken up, but jeez, some of the stuff I've read here is just vile.
Well, I guess games are for kids after all and the biggest kids are on the left of politics: in America, that would be the Democrats.

Google 'Alinsky's Rules for Radicals' and you will understand what the communists, otherwise known as Democrats, have been doing to Sarah Palin.

RULE 5: "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon." There is no defense. It's irrational. It's infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)

RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it." Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

God help you, America.

Not really, humor doesn't work if it's illogical... Unles you're part of Monty Python, of course.
Humour is a way to criticise something while still keeping a fair distance from it and humour doesn't work if it doesn't a fair mark.

To anyone who asks: yes, I studied humor in my dutch classes.

Oh, and what is exactly your point, mike?

DagothGares, I never mentioned humor.
Humor and the Left are very far from one another.
Humor tends to involve truth; and truth is something the Left knows nothing about.
What the Left do is not funny.
Incredibly sick, twisted, evil and destructive, maybe; but not funny.

I agree with my compatriot Mike. In order to preserve democracy and other beautiful things our country has invented, we need to get rid of all the democrats.

Communists have ruled our country for too long with their "freedom of speech" and their "constitutional rights". First they abolish slavery, now they make fun of Sarah Palin... What's next, a black president?!

I hope they get sent to hell along with all the Jews.

Indeed, comrade baklava.

Only true libertarians know humor. Your political affiliations do affect your sense of humor. Everyone knows communists don't laugh, except when a puppy died or to exemplify their malice.

A 2 party system is always ridicule, the US suffers from that.
Here is what they should do, elect the Green party and get over it. Atleast it would involve "change".

Electing 50 cent would involve change as well... Get it?
A tw party system is better than a six party system, because it's one vs one. It's not that othe rparties gang up on others, like in some other country that is left without a government for years...

Think hard about which country I mean. *points subtly at himself*

Good grief, where to begin?
First of all, Baklava, it was not the Democrats who abolished slavery but the Republicans.
Democrats were PRO slavery, not against it.
"Drenched in blood of slavery"

Guess who founded the Klu Klux Klan; yep, Democrats.

Communists are not for freedom of speech but against freedom of speech and dissent; what do you think those Siberian gulags were all about in Russia?

Everything about the Left is a lie.
Where to begin with Obama? Yes he is black. So what.
What concerns me is not his color but his policies.
He sides with every evil in the world and works to destroy the traditional values of America and everything good.

Oh yes, you had to throw the Jews in there as well, didn't you.
Good grief, is there no limit to your ignorance and bigotry.
There is no point in talking to you as you have obviously been completely brainwashed by the communist controlled media and education systems, although perhaps this quote is relevant:
"In a March 31, 1977 interview with the Amsterdam-based newspaper Dagblad de Verdieping Trouw, PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhse’in said:

'The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.'

This is the truth which the useful idiots of the west completely fail to grasp - that the whole ‘Palestinian state’ grievance is a cynical fabrication, used by genocidal Arab regimes as a proxy for a conventional war of annihilation against Israel".

Since we have a new member here, I will be nice.  Racism of any kind is against the CoC.

Quote:
1) NO insults, abuse, racism or sexism.
Insult is a remark that undermines another person. A simple way to avoid insulting people is to discuss their actions and opinions rather than their personality. For example: instead of saying who they are ("you suck" or "you are an idiot") say what you think about their opinions/actions and why ("Your post about me is wrong because I never said that heroes 4 is a bad game" or "I disagree with your opinion because centaurs have more hit points than gnolls"). This simple rephrasing strategy can resolve many conflicts and fights before they even happen, both online and in life.
Racism is any remark that associates negativity with a person or group of people based on their nationality, ethnicity, religion, race, place of origin, or skin color. Sexism is any remark that associates negativity with a person or group of people based on their gender or sexual orientation.
