Different country, different rules
I admit, some people cant spell. But some haveb't been to school, and are starting to hit it rich now.
Or what about country spelling. For instance, America and australia are VERY different in simple words. You may think that they may have made a mistake when they are actually following their own countries way of typing.

Yeah..
That's what I was talking about before.
But, considering most countries originally came from being used as convict holding areas for the British (I know Australia was, and I'm pretty sure convicts were sent to North America - doesn't that involve the civil war or something? God knows.. haven't done US history yet) so it is strange to see why countries have completely altered the spelling, as Australia's spelling is pretty much identical with the British, but the same can not be said for the Americans? Tsk, silly americans always have to change stuff.

And I got a star, too, yay! Heh.
Anyway, was just trying to edit a post I had just posted (noticed an error) and it came up with that flood protect screen and I was reading it and it said..
"Floodprotect Active !!!, try again in X second's"
My god, either the person/people who run the board (Valeriy?) really need to go back to school OR, that's how the PHP script came and no-one bothered to edit it. (In that case, you probably couldn't edit it, those companies are fussy, but less so if it is a paid for message board service (like UBB)  )
The amount of bad grammar there is.. bad? Heh.
(Wait, i'm becoming an idiotic moron, I should stop picking up things like that.. but wait, I am an idiotic moron anyway, lol.)

...why are we having this discussion again anyway? Haven't we already decided that it really doesn't matter how well someone can spell and form their sentences? SO long as you can understand them, I have no problem with it.
...and yes there is a reason for the flood protect...a good reason that such a thing was created in the first place...frankly, if I could I would actually increase that time on some particular posters...it helps to control the level of spamming to some degree...

The thing is..
Internet speak isnīt english, or russian. Itīs Internet speak and it comtains stuff like "u r nice" and "lol" as regular sentences and words. It has different grammar, different words, and is used in a different way.

Yeah well, I didn't say flood protect was useless, did I?
I only said I was not discussing the purpose of it.
(Edit: Oh and by the way Bjorn, that isn't truly internet language, people use 'u r' and stuff in SMS messages on mobile phones, some use it in letter writing to their friends, etc.)

Being isolated from the original language always causes different strains.
Look at france and quebec, they both speak french, but very differently.
Even Australia and the UK have very different languages these days. Slang playing a very big part.
The languages change and evolve in different areas differently, even thought they started off the same.
Even Britain hasnt spoken "the Queen's English" forever.

I guess the quality of spelling isn't only affected
by where ppl come from.
-ppl may just type in a hurry and not bother to check
or correct
-maybe wrong spelling is a "style" of some ppl
After all, as long as ppl can understand, what's the
difference between "programme" and "program" ???
Btw, isn't the language barrier created by God to
prevent ppl from building up the Babylon tower or somethin
like that ???

And also the spelling is difference in holland. The words are different and the order of the words is very different aswel...
But I almost understand all that you say.. And I mostly try to watch english/american movies without the DUTCH lines under it Because I just love english/american more then dutch I wished everybody in the world just had one language.. and it would be english!

Yeah I totally agree that we should all speak one language in the world.. be it English, Chinese or whatever.
It just plain sucks that u can travel a few kilomters/miles in some countries and cross a language border...!@
